This does not seem to be a serious issue for Early, but it could hurt his chances of earning a spot with the Knicks for the 2016-17 season. The 25-year-old forward averaged 4.3 points and 2.2 rebounds across 56 games (nine starts) over the last two years in New York.
No surprise that Lucroy is out of the lineup for Thursday afternoon's game, as he has been behind the plate each of the last two nights. Martin Maldonado will start at catcher and bat seventh against Dodgers' righty Kenta Maeda.
Worley has found a home in the bullpen for the Orioles and was pitching to a 2.66 ERA and 1.35 WHIP before landing on the disabled list earlier this month. Unfortunately, as a long reliever, the right-hander doesn’t bring any fantasy value to the table.
Beltran has missed the last couple of games due to a hamstring injury, but it appears the veteran will avoid the disabled list. Unfortunately, at the age of 39, these things are going to happen, but Beltran has been a huge asset to fantasy rosters this season with a slash line of .297/.336/.570 with 19 homeruns and 53 RBIs. There’s a chance another injury could occur or Beltran wears down later in the season so it may not be the worst idea to start putting the outfielder on the trade market.
Jurickson Profar will start in Andrus’ place and bat seventh for the Rangers against the Yankees. Michael Pineda toes the rubber for the Yankees so the Rangers are a lineup to target in DFS and Profar’s salary is very reasonable around the industry and can be used as salary relief. Profar has a slash line of .347/.380/.505 with three homeruns in 26 games this season and continues to move all around the diamond to keep his bat in the lineup. Andrus should return to the Rangers lineup in their next game.
If Chalmers wants as much money as possible then the Grizzlies appears to be his only choice for an even bigger payday next year. Chalmers averaged 10.3 points and 3.8 assists this past season in nearly 23 minutes and would appear to have the same type of role if he returned to the Grizzlies.
