Latest Update Xander Bogaerts went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs scored in the Red Sox win over the Royals on Sunday. Sun Sep, 14, 06:37 PM
Is a naturally gifted hitter with tremendous power potential and awesome bat speed. Sprays the ball to all fields. Has a great arm and a very projectable 6-3 frame.
Flaws: : While he's improving his defense at shortstop, he might not have enough glove to play the position in the bigs. Also doesn't boast a lot of base-stealing speed.
There was a lot of hype around Bogaerts for the 2014 campaign. He has a .240 average, 12 home runs, 41 RBIs, and two stolen bases on the year. It's nice that he has dual-eligibility since he hasn't quite lived up to the hype as of yet.Analyst: Colby Conway
Bogaerts is the middle of a four game hit streak as he has collected seven hits in those four games. He has homered in back-to-back games and it is time to take a flier on a guy if he is on your waiver wire. Although the year is over for Boston, he needs to continue to play well to earn his spot for next season.Analyst: Colby Conway
Bogaerts is finally coming around with the stick. For his last ten games, he's 15-for-39 (.385) with two home runs, six RBI and four runs scored. He's a great target for 2015, as risk-averse fantasy owners may not be willing to "take a chance" on the young stud. Analyst: Spencer Silva
Bogaerts has been much better since returing from the disabled list, batting .370 in seven games. This could certainly be a mirage, but he is quite talented and worth a pickup.Analyst: Steve Pimental
