Latest Update Brandon Guyer enjoys three-hit night Wed Jul, 09, 08:16 AM
Owns an impressive power/speed package, and is also capable of hitting for a good batting average. Can put up good totals in the minor leagues.
Flaws: : Needs to display more consistency in order to maximize his big-league at-bats. Strikes out a bit too much and is a bit too aggressive at times (in general).
After going 2-for-27 (.074 BA) over his last eight games, Guyer got back on track Tuesday, logging his first multi-hit game of July. He is now sitting on a .264 average with one home run, 14 RBI and 22 runs scored over 121 at-bats, and should only be owned in AL-only leagues until be should more consistency at the plate. Analyst: Matthew Beck
He has been batting third for the Rays recently, but also hasn't hit very well. He is owned in less than 1% of most fantasy leagues, so this shouldn't affect many owners. Analyst: Mark Kaplan
Since coming off the disabled list and returning to the lineup, Guyer is batting .344 with one home run, four RBI and seven runs scored. Obviously not the strongest of power totals, but he's always been more of a table-setter than a table-clearer. He should continue to see the majority of work in left for Tampa moving forward.Analyst: Howard Bender
Guyer is now 8-for-23 (.348 BA) with three RBI and five runs scored over his last six games, as he continues to make his presence felt in the Rays lineup. He is now hitting .289 with one home run and nine RBI through his first 84 at-bats, but will need to show a little more at the plate before gaining fantasy value outside of AL-only leagues.
