Latest Update Arcia homers in win Fri Sep, 26, 11:30 PM
Owns tremendous bat speed, which generates good power. Is a good defender in right field, especially due to a very strong and accurate throwing arm.
Flaws: : Lacks discipline at the dish, though he's improving in that area. Isn't much of a base-stealer. Plays with a swagger that at times rubs opponents the wrong way.
Arcia blasted off for his 20th bomb of the season -- in just 401 plate appearances. The power has never been an issue, but walk and strikeout rates are. He's whiffed in nearly a third of his PA's and is walking a pedestrian 7.7% of the time. He's a fringe 5th outfielder in mixed leagues until he can improve his contact rate. As soon as the whiffs start coming down... BUY!Analyst: Spencer Silva
Arcia is now slashing .237/.308/.469 with 19 home runs and 54 RBI through 337 at-bats in 2014 as he remains on pace for 20 home run season of his career. He has now hit three home runs over his last four games, and five in his last 10, making him a must-add for those still fighting for championships in deep leagues.Analyst: Matthew Beck
Injuries are a regular part of Arcia's world and they have lightened his playing time often. We'll call him day-to-day for now and you can probably expect him to sit Tuesday.Analyst: Howard Bender
Arcia drew the first blood of the night from Tigers' starter Max Scherzer. Unfortunately, Arcia exited the game in the eight inning after injuring himself by swinging too hard at the plate. It's been an up-and-down season for the talented 23-year-old who has hit 18 home runs in just 369 PA. The problem is he's batting .230 (.304 OBP) and is striking out in nearly a third of his PA's.Analyst: Spencer Silva
