Latest Update Royals designate OF Moises Sierra for assignment. Tue Dec, 16, 04:18 PM
Has one of the best outfield arms around and good pop in his bat, capable of hitting a fair amount of home runs. Can also steal bases. Mashes left-handed pitching.
Flaws: : Could stand to improve his walk/strikeout ratio in order to maximize his hitting potential. Generally lacks consistency in all facets of the game.
With the addition of Alex Rios, the Royals needed to open up a roster spot. Sierra might refuse the assignment and test the free agent market, but he's not likely to find a situation more conducive to him getting a shot at some point during the year.Analyst: Howard Bender
With Alejandro De Aza gone to Baltimore, Sierra could see an increase in playing time over the final month. He's not one to run out and grab off your waiver wire, but if you're playing in an AL-only format, full-time at-bats would be helpful for his value.Analyst: Howard Bender
Sierra will likely be activated when the rosters expand September 1st, although he is eligible to be activated on August 31st. The Sox will likely not take advantage of his availability to save the roster spot, especially with Adam Eaton coming off the DL this week.Analyst: Ivar G. Anderson
He was pulled from Friday's contest with a sore back. His injury allows the White Sox to add Avisail Garcia to be activated and help out in a depleted outfield that was already missing Dayan Viciedo, who is day-to-day with dizziness that forced his removal from Friday's game.Analyst: Ivar G.
