Latest Update Segura is not in the Brewers' starting lineup on Saturday. Sat Sep, 13, 02:57 PM
An offensive middle infielder with great speed, he can play both shortstop and second base. Also displays pretty good pop in his bat.
Flaws: : Could stand to improve his walk/strikeout ratio, as well as his stolen-base percentage, in order to maximize his big-league potential.
After 10 straight starts, Hector Gomez will handle the duties at short for the Brewers on Saturday. Segura has been hitting better in September, but hasn't shown any power to speak of lately.Analyst: Ivar G. Anderson
Segura has endured extreme regression in batting average from last year but he has dropped off in all facets from last year. He is well behind the pace he set last year, and many owners lost confidence and jumped off the Segura train putting many owners scrambling for shortstop help. Segura has a meager four home runs and 18 stolen bases on the 2014 campaign.Analyst: Colby Conway
Segura's finally gotten a little hot, going 8-for-21 over his last seven games (.347). His season line is still abysmal (.239/.284/.316), and he shouldn't be a top-10 consideration at SS heading into the spring. He and Everth Cabrera have been the biggest up-the-middle fantasy disappointments.Analyst: Spencer Silva
Segura has been struggling through much of the 2014 season, slashing .235/.276/.314 with just four home runs and 28 RBI over 456 at-bats. Although he showed us on Friday night what he is capable of doing at the plate, until that type of performance becomes more of the norm, there is no reason to run to the waiver wire to add him for the stretch run while hitting .242 since returning from the All-Star break.
