Latest Update Whitehurst throws two touchdowns against Redskins Sun Oct, 19, 11:23 PM
Generates great power, thanks to his big frame, and can produce runs with aplomb. His size is also an asset as a target at first base. Is always willing to draw walks.
Flaws: : Could still stand to cut down on his high number of strikeouts even more, and also work a little harder on hitting for a better average. Isn't a very efficient runner.
This is par for the course with Whitehurst since he took over for the injured Jake Locker. Reports are that Locker will retake his starting job next week but given his rather ineffectiveness this season it is likely not the last team Whitehurst will play this season.Analyst: Jonathan Impemba
Those are words no fan of a NFL team ever wants to see. Whitehurst is a brutal QB, especially in fantasy, as he has four touchdowns in four games and he wasn't even able to produce a touchdown vs the Jaguars last week. Analyst: Mark Kaplan
There may have been some fleeting hope that Jake Locker was going to be able to return, but the work that Whitehurst put in Friday points to him starting once again. He's got a real nice match-up against Washington's 25th-ranked pass defense, but he's still a risky play.Analyst: Howard Bender
While Whitehurst didn't blow anyone out of the water today, he played efficient football. He didn't turn the ball over, and he did enough to help his team beat Jacksonville. It is unknown how much longer Jake Locker will miss, but Whitehurst could be an average streaming option for owners with their regular quarterback on his bye week. Keep in mind, he isn't going to be a game changer.Analyst: Colby Conway
