Latest Update Whitehurst plays well in loss Thu Dec, 18, 11:16 PM
Generates great power, thanks to his big frame, and can produce runs with aplomb. His size is also an asset as a target at first base. Is always willing to draw walks.
Flaws: : Could still stand to cut down on his high number of strikeouts even more, and also work a little harder on hitting for a better average. Isn't a very efficient runner.
From a statistical perspective, Whitehurst played a solid game under center for the Titans. While he did throw for 287 yards, he only produced 13 points for the Titans en route to loss number 15 on the year. Whitehurst isn't the quarterback of the future for the Titans, and he will likely be replaced upon the return of Jake Locker, or Zach Mettenberger.Analyst: Colby Conway
Whitehurst amassed 154 yards on only nine completions, but the problem lies in that same statistic. Whitehurst only completed nine passes. He attempted 23, and struggled leading the Tennessee offense. Jake Locker got injured during the game, and he could possibly miss week 16. If that were to be the case, Charlie Whitehurst would attract the start, but he should not attract one of your roster spots.Analyst: Colby Conway
This is par for the course with Whitehurst since he took over for the injured Jake Locker. Reports are that Locker will retake his starting job next week but given his rather ineffectiveness this season it is likely not the last team Whitehurst will play this season.Analyst: Jonathan Impemba
Those are words no fan of a NFL team ever wants to see. Whitehurst is a brutal QB, especially in fantasy, as he has four touchdowns in four games and he wasn't even able to produce a touchdown vs the Jaguars last week. Analyst: Mark Kaplan
