Latest Update Crawford homers in Giants win Sat Sep, 13, 01:48 AM
Is a very solid defensive infielder, complete with a strong throwing arm. Has pretty good power and is quite big for a middle infielder.
Flaws: : Strikes out a bit too much for his average level of power, and doesn't steal enough bases to be a more rounded offensive player.
Crawford is now 5-for-11 with two extra-base hits and four RBI over his last three games as he continues to play a crucial role for the Giants down the stretch. Through 446 at-bats, Crawford is slashing .238/.320/.381 with nine home runs and 62 RBI which makes him a viable fantasy option for the final two weeks of the season if in need of help in the power categories. Crawford is a very streaky owner and the Giants are hoping this is the start of one of his patented hot stretches. Crawford has been battling a sore shoulder so hopefully this offense outburst proves he is over the minor shoulder ailment. While he is one of the best defensive players in the game, his bat is not superb. Shortstop is a thin position so Crawford could be your starting shortstop if you suffered an injury or waited on a shortstop in your draft.Analyst: Colby Conway
Crawford was dealing with a shoulder injury recently and while he made it back into the lineup Friday, he didn't actually arrive until Saturday's game. His RBI-single in the fourth helped stretch the Giants lead to 3-0 and his stolen base showed that he wasn't being limited in any way. However, slashing just .228/.314/.367 make shim a pretty lame-duck play in fantasy leagues.Analyst: Howard Bender
Matt Duffy is starting in place of Crawford. Duffy was called up at the beginning of the month and is hitting .250 with two runs and two RBI over 32 at bats.Analyst: Jonathan Impemba
