Latest Update Brandon Crawford batting 2nd Wednesday vs Pirates Wed Jul, 30, 01:12 PM
Is a very solid defensive infielder, complete with a strong throwing arm. Has pretty good power and is quite big for a middle infielder.
Flaws: : Strikes out a bit too much for his average level of power, and doesn't steal enough bases to be a more rounded offensive player.
Brandon Crawford has been a pleasant surprise for the Giants this season and has really come on in the month of July. He now boasts a .233 batting average to go along with eight homers and 45 RBI. This comes as no surprise that he is being moved up the draft order. Analyst: Drew Phelps
Crawford had himself a good game on Tuesday night, but he now has just three hits over his last five games, bringing his season average down to .239 through 310 at-bats. He is not the type of player that will hit for average, but his power stroke is certainly worthy of an investment, as he now sits with eight home runs and 44 RBI from the shortstop position, making him worthy of ownership in all but the shallowest of league formats.Analyst: Matthew Beck
No word given as to why Crawford is taking a seat Sunday, but considering the Marlins are throwing a lefty in Brad Hand for the game, perhaps manager Bruce Bochy wants to go with the right-handed Joaquin Arias at short instead.Analyst: Howard Bender
The Giants were way ahead in the game so there's nothing wrong with a precautionary removal here. Crawford went 1-for-2 with a home run, three RBI and a run scored before he left the game, so he certainly did his part. Consider him day-to-day and if he's out Saturday, expect to see Ehire Adrianza at shortstop.Analyst: Howard Bender
