Latest Update Lorenzo Cain is expected to start the next two games in Colorado Mon Aug, 18, 06:39 PM
Is quite toolsy and athletic. Plays good defense in the field and boasts a good power/speed package at bat. His athleticism is a major plus.
Flaws: : Is inconsistent, especially at the plate. Needs more work on his walk/strikeout ratio in order to maximize his offensive production.
Cain's owners ears perked up when they saw "start" and "in Colorado". Cain is locked in a platoon situation and hasn't been starting every day. Get him in the lineup though, as players always have a chance for big fantasy performances while playing at Coors Field. Analyst: Mark Kaplan
Cain is just getting a routine day off here. Sure, it's only been two games in a row for him, but anyone who has ever owned Cain in a fantasy league can tell you that it's probably best that he doesn't play three days in a row. They call him Mr. Glass because he breaks so easily.Analyst: Howard Bender
After seven-straight starts, Cain will take a breather Sunday and give way to Jarrod Dyson. You believe that? Cain with seven-straight starts and no injury. Will wonders never cease. Not only that, but he hit safely in six of those seven though with just two RBI in that span, he hasn't been particularly productive.Analyst: Howard Bender
And while he might be expected by some, the Royals will not be so accommodating. Despite a five-game hit streak, the Royals will give the always-frail Cain a day off to rest. No one needs him playing five-straight says here and pop a hammy or something so Ned Yost will go with Jarrod Dyson and Norichika Aoki in center and right. Cain should be back in the lineup Tuesday.Analyst: Howard Bender
