Latest Update Evan Longoria left Monday's game in Japan as a precaution Tue Nov, 18, 09:49 AM
Is one of the game's best all-round performers at the hot corner. Is a power hitter that can also maintain a solid batting average. He's great defensively. Performs well under pressure.
Flaws: : If he has one main flaw at the plate, it's a reasonably high strikeout rate. Also, he can go into prolonged hitting slumps at times. Isn't really much of a base-stealing threat, either.
Everything appears to be fine with Longoria and there shouldn't be anything with which to be concerned right now. Fantasy owners need only be concerned with reasons behind last season's drop-off in production. In addition to a drop in average, on-base percentage and slugging, Longoria saw a drop in both is walk-rate and isolated power. Granted, nearly every member of the Rays had a significant drop in some aspect of their offensive game, but it's certainly going to be a wonder as to whether he will regain his form in 2015.Analyst: Howard Bender
This will be the first time in his career in which he will be able to play every game for the Rays, which is an incredible feat in this era. However,, he is slashing .253/.321/.404 so maybe a day off here and there could have helped out his production in 2014.Analyst: Matthew Beck
The trainers will look at his hand again Wednesday morning to check on the swelling and his ability to grip and swing a bat. If all checks out, he should remain in the lineup, but don't be surprised to see him get a day or two off.Analyst: Howard Bender
The two RBIs he earned today bring his season total up to 90 on the year. Longoria is having a quietly productive season for owners, and is one of the best third baseman in fantasy baseball. Continue starting Longoria in all formats.Analyst: Colby Conway
