Latest Update JUp up to 9 multi-hit games over his last 16 Fri Jul, 25, 12:45 AM
A phenomenal athlete, he possesses all five tools. Owns big-time home-run power. Has a rare mix of size, wheels and raw natural bat-speed. Throws well from the outfield.
Flaws: : Strikes out too much. Has shown he can sometimes lose focus (at the plate, on the basepaths and in the field). Needs to keep working on his fundamentals and consistency.
Justin Upton posted his 9th multi-hit game in his past 16 and is hitting .367 (22-for-60) with nine extra base hits over that span.Analyst: Michael Pichan
Upton was hit on the back of the arm by Kyle Kendrick on Sunday and left the game early but as you might expect, it was just Kyle Kendrick, so Upton is back in the lineup Monday and will continue to play, business as usual.Analyst: Howard Bender
He was removed from the game after the run delay. He had two hits and scored two runs in the game before his departure. It does not sound like a bad injury and Upton should be in the lineup for tomorrow's game. Analyst: Mark Kaplan
This was Upton's fourth multi-hit performance in his last six games, but this was the most productive he's been in some time. This gives him only one home run, nine RBI and just three runs scored for the month of July. We still stand by him as one of the better outfielders in the game, but his streakiness is becoming tiresome for his owners. Overall, the .275 average with 17 home runs and 55 RBI have been great for his owners, but it really could have been so much more.Analyst: Howard Bender
