Latest Update Brett Gardner Hits Third HR in Two Games Wed Jul, 30, 08:47 AM
Is one of the fastest players in baseball, and has the ability to steal plenty of bases (whether up or down in the batting order). Can track down plenty of balls in the outfield, and can even play center field.
Flaws: : Has very little power to speak of, mainly because he constantly hits down on the ball. Needs to prove he can hit left-handed pitching with greater consistency. His arm is not good enough for right field.
Who are you and what have you done with Brett Gardner? Are you serious? Gardner is now 7-for-10 with three home runs, three RBI and five runs scored over these last two games and he's suddenly looking like a beast at the plate. Unfortunately, this is not power upon which you can rely and the fact remains that, while he has 17 stolen bases on the year, he has just two this month and just two in June. Yes, moments like these are nice, but Gardner was drafted for his 30-to-40-steal potential and if he's not giving you that, then you have to find a speedster who will. Analyst: Howard Bender
Gardner's two home runs, both coming off Rangers starter Yu Darvish, give him 12 on the season and four in 11 career at-bats against Darvish. He is now three from matching his combined total from the past three seasons having already exceeded his career-high for home runs in a season, which he set last season when he clubbed eight.Analyst: Michael Pichan
Gardner continues to prove himself as one of the more underrated fantasy options this season as he is one of the better speed/power combo players in MLB with nine home runs and 17 steals on the year.Analyst: Michael Pichan
