Latest Update Gardner says he's good to go after BP Wed Aug, 27, 05:50 PM
Is one of the fastest players in baseball, and has the ability to steal plenty of bases (whether up or down in the batting order). Can track down plenty of balls in the outfield, and can even play center field.
Flaws: : Has very little power to speak of, mainly because he constantly hits down on the ball. Needs to prove he can hit left-handed pitching with greater consistency. His arm is not good enough for right field.
Looks like the ankle is fine and Gardener will stay in the Yankees lineup for Wednesday. He is in left field and will bat eighth.Analyst: Howard Bender
The Yankees have Gardner penciled in at left field for Wednesday's game but he's been battling an ankle injury for the last few days, so if he suffers a setback during batting practice, he's not going to be able to go.Analyst: Howard Bender
Gardener has missed the last two games with an ankle injury but has shown day-to-day improvement. He'll test it before Tuesday's game and see how close he is to returning. At least there's no DL talk happening here.Analyst: Howard Bender
Gardner is still dealing with an ankle injury, so he'll continue to take a seat until he's back to 100-percent. Martin Prado will be in left field once again.Analyst: Howard Bender
