Latest Update Ryan Braun hit his 18th home run of the year on Sunday, a solo blast in the eighth inning, but the Brewers were blown-out 15-5 by the Giants. Sun Aug, 31, 08:11 PM
Can hit anything thrown to him for doubles and homers, while making great contact. Is gifted athletically and boasts a terrific power swing. A prolific producer, he is also fast enough to regularly steal bases.
Flaws: : Is not a top-tier defender (although he has a superb throwing arm), and is a bit raw in the outfield. Does tend to strike out a bit too much. His situation may be clouded by a performance-enhancing drug issue.
Braun swatted his 18th long ball of the year in today's blowout defeat. Braun has had a nice bounce back year after the steroid scandal of 2013. He should reach 20 home runs by the end of the year, but he may never have an MVP season again. He is still a solid #2 outfielder in all formats.Analyst: Colby Conway
There was some concern that he was going to miss Tuesday's game because he got pulled late in the game on Monday with a minor quad injury. He's good to go though, so make sure to get him in the your starting lineup.Analyst: Mark Kaplan
Braun was removed in the seventh inning of Monday night's game against the Padres due to a thigh contusion, but the injury is not considered serious at this time. With another multi-hit performance, Braun has now going 8-for-17 (.471 BA) with two home runs and three RBI over his last four games. Until we get a definitive answer on Braun's availability, consider him day-to-day moving forward. Analyst: Matthew Beck
Obviously it hasn't been the year Braun owners hoped for, but you knew the injury risk when you drafted him. Still, there's nothing to say that he can't go on a power binge to close out the year as the Brewers fight to hold onto their division lead. He's now hit safely in five of his last six with two home runs, six RBI and five runs scored. Plenty more could be on the way.Analyst: Howard Bender
