Latest Update Braun collects two hits in Brewers win Sat Sep, 13, 12:58 AM
Can hit anything thrown to him for doubles and homers, while making great contact. Is gifted athletically and boasts a terrific power swing. A prolific producer, he is also fast enough to regularly steal bases.
Flaws: : Is not a top-tier defender (although he has a superb throwing arm), and is a bit raw in the outfield. Does tend to strike out a bit too much. His situation may be clouded by a performance-enhancing drug issue.
Braun is certainly having a better season than he did in 2012, but he is not producing at anywhere close to his previous level. At this point his 30-30 days are probably long behind him, though it is possible he has another monster season in him if he can just stay healthy.Analyst: Steve Pimental
Braun has been ice cold in the month of September, hitting .200 with just one extra-base hit, which came on Thursday night. With the Brewers still being in contention for a playoff spot in the National League, Braun is going to have to step up his game if he wants to play past September, and if that happens, his fantasy owners should reap the rewards as well. He is now sitting on a .272 average with 19 home runs, 79 RBI and 11 stolen bases through 474 at-bats in 2014. Analyst: Matthew Beck
The thumb injury has subsided and Braun, who pinch-hit Tuesday, is ready to get back into the lineup. He is starting in right field Thursday and batting fifth.Analyst: Howard Bender
Braun has missed the last few games with a thumb issue but has been able to pinch-hit. Things seem to be better for him now, so a return to the starting lineup seems imminent.Analyst: Howard Bender
