Latest Update Braun smacks two-run shot in victory Fri Jul, 25, 07:49 AM
Can hit anything thrown to him for doubles and homers, while making great contact. Is gifted athletically and boasts a terrific power swing. A prolific producer, he is also fast enough to regularly steal bases.
Flaws: : Is not a top-tier defender (although he has a superb throwing arm), and is a bit raw in the outfield. Does tend to strike out a bit too much. His situation may be clouded by a performance-enhancing drug issue.
Braun has been an offensive force since returning from the All-Star break, smacking three home runs with eight RBI over his last seven games. He's now sitting on a 302 average with 14 home runs, 60 RBI and nine stolen bases through 321 at-bats, which is a very respectable, but nowhere near the type of output he posted prior to his suspension. However, he still remains on pace to reach 20-pus home runs, which would make the seventh time he has reached that plateau over his first eight big league seasons. Analyst: Matthew Beck
Braun ironically homered on the one-year anniversary of his suspension, which was his 13th of the season and his second in four games.Analyst: Michael Pichan
Braun ripped a double and a single off Latos as the Brewers tagged him for four earned runs in seven innings of work. Braun has hits in each of his last nine games, and assuming his back issue is behind him, he could be in for a second-half surge. He hasn't produced like a first-round fantasy pick, but he's still providing in all five categories. Analyst: Spencer Silva
Braun has been hitting very well lately, pushing his average up to near .300 on the season. He does have his work cut out for him at home tonight, although Latos may have some rust, having last pitched on July 11.Analyst: Ivar G. Anderson
