Latest Update McCutchen would like to play the rest of his career in Pittsburgh Sun Nov, 09, 10:39 AM
Has tremendous speed and athleticism. Also possesses power, a keen batting eye and plate patience at the dish. Is a great and instinctive defensive center-fielder. Can steal bases.
Flaws: : Could stand to put on more muscle on his 5-10 frame (for even better power and greater durability). With his speed, he could become more efficient when on the base-paths.
It's actually a fair request. McCutchen, who is an NL MVP, isn't holding the team hostage here with his demands. With the upswing for the Pirates in general, the team is going to have a hard time screaming "small-market foul" and is going to have to maybe pony up a little extra cash into player salaries. Surely ownership can forgo lining it's pockets in lieu of a better product on the field.Analyst: Howard Bender
McCutchen is likely going to come up short of his sixth-consecutive 20-SB season, but he has had another excellent fantasy season. He should be one of the safest fantasy picks against next season.Analyst: Steve Pimental
Cutch is clutch. Behind Mike Trout, Cutch makes a debate for why he is the second best outfielder in the game. If he hadn't of missed time for the rib injury, his stats would be even better than they already are. McCutchen now has a .313 average, 25 home runs, 78 RBIs, 17 stolen bases, and 85 runs scored on the year. McCutchen is elite.Analyst: Colby Conway
The reigning NL MVP did what MVP's do. He put the team on his back and carried them across the playoff berth finish line. McCutchen is one of the faces of Major League Baseball and for good reason. He's a top five pick once again next spring.Analyst: David Kerr
