Latest Update Michael Brantley hits 18th home run Sun Aug, 17, 05:09 AM
Has a very good batting eye, excellent patience and good speed. Also has a rangy, athletic frame with run-producing skills. Is also very good glove man in the outfield.
Flaws: : Needs to show he can hit with more power to add to his overall value. Defensively, he doesn't have a great arm. Doesn't have one elite quality to speak of, unfortunately.
Brantley's breakout season continued on Saturday as he is now slashing .321/.379/.516 with 18 home runs, 80 RBI and 13 steals in 461 at-bats. He is only two home runs shy of posting his first career 20 home runs season, while having already set career-highs in both the long balls and RBI department with six weeks left in the season. The 27-year-old outfielder was a great mid-to-late round pick in this year's drafts, but is going to see his value skyrocket after his brilliant 2014 season as we move on to next year.
