Latest Update Jamie Romak cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Albuquerque. Sat Jun, 28, 03:13 PM
Has very good power, especially in the minor leagues, and also the plate patience to draw a fair share of walks. Is quite versatile in the field, too.
Flaws: : Strikes out a ton, so he has trouble making consistent contact. Also, he's not a great defender at any position. Doesn't run very well, either.
With the crowded outfield in LA, the move is not a shocker by any means. He wasn't seeing any significant playing time with the Dodgers, so it is prudent to ship him down to get him at bats.Analyst: Ivar G. Anderson
The Dodgers purchased the contract of 1B Clint Robinson who will fill the roster spot left open by the demotion of Romak. Robinson has lingered in the minors for years despite mashing at most every level, but has been unable to get much of an opportunity to show what he could do at the major league level as he has seemingly always been blocked behind a higher quality first baseman or designated hitter. Lucky for him he has finally gotten a callup, unfortunately it will still be tough for him to find at-bats and thus will likely just be a bat off the bench for the time being.Analyst: Michael Pichan
Romak is with his third organization in three years but seems to be staying afloat with a .272 average with 13 home runs and 30 RBI over 206 plate appearances for the Isotopes. He'll serve as depth in both the infield and the outfield and apparently ruin the chances of us seeing Joc Pederson this time around.Analyst: Howard Bender
