Latest Update Bourn (hamstring) did some light running on the field before Thursday's game Thu Jul, 31, 10:24 PM
Has speed to burn, which he translates into elite defensive play in center field and great stolen-base numbers. Has developed into a solid hitter for average and can score a lot of runs.
Flaws: : Posts massive strikeout numbers for a player who has little power; would benefit a lot from a different approach at the dish. Despite all his free swinging, he is also not a great RBI threat.
Bourn is aiming to return in mid-August from his hamstring injury and this is a solid step forward. The Indians are on the bubble at this point, but a healthy Bourn should give them a little shot in the arm headed down the stretch.Analyst: David Kerr
Bourn has been out now since July 5 and is close to the four-week timetable originally given when he first injured himself. The fact that there is no word as to when he'll even start a rehab assignment is certainly not an encouraging thing and given the nature of the injury, it is unclear as to how much running he'll actually do when he comes back.Analyst: Howard Bender
Bourn was placed on the DL back on July 6th and was given a 3-4 week timetable for his return. As he continues to ramp up his rehab the Indians have not released a definite return date for Bourn. Analyst: Jonathan Impemba
Bourn's last game came on July 5 and he hasn't come close to playing since. The hamstring has been a chronic issue for him and the fact that there is still no timetable means that if you haven't already moved on from him, you probably should by now.Analyst: Howard Bender
