Latest Update Michael Bourn began running on an anti-gravity treadmill Fri Jul, 18, 10:52 PM
Has speed to burn, which he translates into elite defensive play in center field and great stolen-base numbers. Has developed into a solid hitter for average and can score a lot of runs.
Flaws: : Posts massive strikeout numbers for a player who has little power; would benefit a lot from a different approach at the dish. Despite all his free swinging, he is also not a great RBI threat.
While that's all well and good for progress, the fact that he's not even running on a field means that he still has a long way to go before returning. The Indians will likely remain cautious, but fantasy owners are going to have to give serious though to cutting bait. Even if he does come back, let's say early to mid-August, how aggressive is he going to be on the basepaths? That's the only reason you drafted him.Analyst: Howard Bender
There is no real timetable for Bourn's return and this news makes that even more clearer. Bourn's game is speed and if he tries to return before he is fully healthy, he will be a detriment to both the Indians and fantasy owners. He should help down the stretch, but expect to be without him until at least early August.Analyst: David Kerr
Bourn was forced out of Saturday's game with the injury and it seems to be the same hamstring that he had surgery on last year and that has given him problems throughout this season. Tyler Holt has taken Bourn's spot on the roster. Analyst: Drew Phelps
Bourn has just been a disaster with the hamstrings this season as this is his third stint on the DL. It's gotten to the point where you simply can't trust him in your lineup and he's completely unreliable with regard to stolen bases. It just might be time to move on. He'll be out until late July at the earliest this time around.Analyst: Howard Bender
