Latest Update Adam Jones went 3-for-4 with a home run, RBI and two runs scored in the Orioles 4-3 win over the White Sox on Wednesday. Wed Aug, 20, 11:12 PM
Is very athletic, with impressive tools: has top-tier speed and power, plus a great throwing arm and range in the outfield. Has shown he can hit for average with good home-run totals.
Flaws: : Is too much of a free swinger and would benefit significantly by taking more free passes--and cutting down on his strikeouts. Doesn't steal as many bases as he should.
Jones has hit safely in each of his last four games with three multi-hit performances in that span. With 24 home runs on the year, it's going to be close to see if he can reach the 30-homer plateau for a third consecutive year. His 77 RBI put him on pace to crack the century mark for a second-straight season. He'll probably need another power binge week or two to get him over both marks. All that with a .288 average and a complete inability to draw a walk and you've got yourself one heck of an all star in this guy. He's been pure fantasy gold these last three seasons.Analyst: Howard Bender
Jones has picked up the pace over his last 10 games, logging five multi-hit performances while adding four extra-base hits (1 HR) and seven RBI in that stretch. He is now slashing .285/.314/.475 with 23 home urns and 76 RBI as he remains one of the better outfield options to own the rest of the way.Analyst: Matthew Beck
Jones stayed hot Monday night and is now 8-for-17 (.471 BA) with three extra-base hits (1 HR), three RBI and four runs scored over his last four games. Although his second half batting average suggests the Orioles All-Star is struggling, he has now logged 16 RBI over his last 93 at-bats on six home runs as he remains one of the best fantasy options to deploy the rest of the way.
