Latest Update Delmon Young will be in the starting lineup Saturday. Fri Sep, 05, 05:33 PM
Is a good hitter with great bat speed and power to all fields. Produces runs and can get red-hot with the bat. Pitchers fear his unpredictability at the dish.
Flaws: : Struggles on defense in the outfield, so he is a liability with the glove. Also lacks consistency. Doesn't walk nearly enough and strikes out a bit too much.
This is something to keep in mind for those of you in daily leagues. Young hasn't appeared in a game since Monday, but there have been no rumblings of injury. He leaves a lot to be desired at the plate, but puts in an occasional solid showing from time to time.Analyst: David Kerr
Young is now hitting .299 with seven home runs and 25 RBI through 204 at-bats for the Orioles, as he tries to turn his career around since with Baltimore. He is now starting to receive regular at-bats with Manny Machado out for the season, so if his recent production continues, he could be a solid low-end option to add in deeper leagues down the stretch. Analyst: Matthew Beck
Young has made three-straight starts at DH for the Orioles but will get a day off with a career .200 mark against Rays starter Jeremy Hellickson. He should be back in the lineup Friday. Newly-recalled Steve Clevenger will be the DH for Thursday.Analyst: Howard Bender
Young has magically found his stroke this season after being one of the league's worst regulars for eight years running. He's having his best major league season per plate appearance and is slashing .300/.332/.432 with six home runs in 203 PA. Black magic brewing in Baltimore. Analyst: Spencer Silva
