A great athlete: has speed, excellent bat speed, a great glove, solid throwing arm and superb batting eye. Produces both as a run-scoring threat and an RBI guy while playing top-tier defense.
Flaws: : Strikes out far too much and can be guilty of being way too aggressive at the dish from time to time. Has had some injury problems in the past that have hindered his overall production over the years.
The home run was Kemp's 16th of the year, and with five weeks left in the season, he has a decent shot of eclipsing the 20 home run mark. He's now slashing .276/.341/.465 and he's got eight steals sprinkled on as well. Kemp was once of the best players in baseball, yet he's quickly moving into the category of better in fantasy than real life given his extremely poor defense in the outfield and inefficient base running. Kemp's up and down season continues as this game leaves him at just 4-for-25 (.160) over his last eight games. He's got one home run, five RBI and three runs scored in that span and he's still slashing .274/.339/.461 on the year, but the inconsistencies make him particularly tough to take in head to head leagues. While Kemp has slowed down from his five home runs in six games assault, he's still managing to find the hits and make his way on-base. He's now hit safely in five of his last six games and has his OBP back at .350 for the season. Those of you who showed patience with him should be reaping the benefits over the final two months of the regular season.Analyst: Howard Bender
Kemp stayed hot on Wednesday, going yard for the sixth time in his last nine games. After a rather unimpressive first half, Kemp is now slashing .344/.425/.672 since returning from the All-Star break making him a must-start in all fantasy formats as long as he can stay healthy. Analyst: Matthew Beck
