Latest Update Kemp homers in Dodgers loss Tue Sep, 02, 12:17 AM
A great athlete: has speed, excellent bat speed, a great glove, solid throwing arm and superb batting eye. Produces both as a run-scoring threat and an RBI guy while playing top-tier defense.
Flaws: : Strikes out far too much and can be guilty of being way too aggressive at the dish from time to time. Has had some injury problems in the past that have hindered his overall production over the years.
Kemp powered up for his 17th dinger of the season and bumped his season triple slash up to an impressive .281/.346/.475 -- which is approximately 32-percent above the major league average. His entire skill-set on was on display Monday -- for better and worse. He terribly misplayed a RBI double by Nats third baseman Anthony Rendon. Kemp remains a strong fantasy option, although his on-the-field value is as low as it's ever been. He could be traded to an American League team this offseason. Analyst: Spencer Silva
While Kemp may never reach the numbers he put up a few years ago, he is still enjoying a productive season. While swatting 16 bombs, and hitting .277 Kemp has proven himself to be worthy of starting for teams. However, those who drafted him with monster bounce back hopes have not quite been happy with his performance.Analyst: Colby Conway
The home run was Kemp's 16th of the year, and with five weeks left in the season, he has a decent shot of eclipsing the 20 home run mark. He's now slashing .276/.341/.465 and he's got eight steals sprinkled on as well. Kemp was once of the best players in baseball, yet he's quickly moving into the category of better in fantasy than real life given his extremely poor defense in the outfield and inefficient base running.
