Latest Update Gregor Blanco scores three times in Game 4 win Sun Oct, 26, 06:31 AM
Has good speed (which he uses well in the field and on the bases) and will take a walk, suggesting he can be a leadoff man. Can also play any outfield position.
Flaws: : Lacks extra-base power, so it's hard to justify playing him on an everyday basis. Also lacks consistency as a general rule when at the plate. Doesn't hit lefties well enough.
Looks like some finally woke Blanco up. After going just 7-for-44 (.159) through the Wild Card and NLDS and 2-for-10 through the first three games, Blanco finally set the table properly in this one and was able to cross the plate three times in the win. The Giants are going to need him to stay hot if they want to continue their quest for a third championship in five years.Analyst: Howard Bender
Blanco led off game two with a home run, but the Giants were only able to get one more player across the plate the rest of the game. Blanco is hitting .286 this postseason after hitting .260 during the regular season.Analyst: Colby Conway
Blanco has underwhelmed as a table-setter in these playoffs, with a .205 OBP. He got the job done Wednesday, however.Analyst: Steve Pimental
Blanco sent a single to right field in the seventh inning scoring Brandon Crawford and giving the Giants a 3-2 advantage. Blanco, however, was unable to cross the plate in spite of being on base twice. He's done an okay job filling in for the injured Angel Pagan, and he should continue to be the Giants' fourth outfielder in 2015.Analyst: Spencer SilvaMore Experts..
