An excellent power hitter from the catching position, he has a great batting eye with the ability to be an RBI machine. Is consistent all-round and calls a good game.
Flaws: : Gets run on far too easily from time to time when his throwing and timing are off. Has dealt with vision issues that have at times caused him problems seeing the ball.
Talk about making the most out of opportunities. McCann had only one at-bat in the game, but it was the biggest at-bat as he hit a walk off three run homer. Analyst: Mark Kaplan
With lefty Chris Sale on the mound for the White Sox, the Yankees will kill two birds with one stone by putting McCann on the bench Sunday. Obviously the day off is always helpful to maintaining his health, but they can also stack righties against Sale and use Francisco Cervelli behind the plate.Analyst: Howard Bender
Since being activated from the 7-day concussion DL, McCann has caught three-straight games so the Yankees will give him a day off to relax and continue healing. Francisco Cervelli will handle the work behind the plate Thursday.Analyst: Howard Bender
McCann was riding a five-game hit streak just prior to landing on the 7-day DL with a slight concussion. His first game back Monday didn't look so good as he went 0-for-4, but this one obviously looked a whole lot better. He's just 6-for-25 over his last seven games, but in that span, he's also got three home runs with six RBI and six runs scored. McCann has been less reliable on the batting average front, but he can still hit for power to help you along.Analyst: Howard Bender
