Latest Update Adrian Gonzalez went 2-for-2 with a home run, double, three RBI and two runs scored in the Dodgers win over the Rockies on Sunday. Sun Sep, 28, 07:37 PM
Owns a sweet swing, huge power and a willingness to take walks. Can be clutch when driving in runs. Has very soft hands and is good defensively at first base.
Flaws: : Lacks speed and swings a little too freely at times, which sometimes limits his batting average from reaching top-tier levels. Is also lacking in range at first.
Gonzalez is one of the most reliable men in the business. He puts up similar numbers year-after-year and continues to be a great value pick in fantasy baseball. While his average has gone down each of the past three years, his home run and RBI totals have gone up each year. Expect Gonzalez's numbers next year to be similar to this year, and be drafted right around the same round he was going in 2014.Analyst: Colby Conway
Gonzalez is now slashing .273/.333/.474 with 26 home runs and 113 RBI through 589 at-bats as he continues to be one of the most consistent first baseman in the game. Even with a few youngsters trying to work their way up the rankings Gonzalez remains one of the safest fantasy options to draft year-in and year-out as he has now gone over 100 RBI in seven of the last eight seasons. Gonzalez is now sitting on a .278 average with 25 home runs and 111 RBI through 568 at-bats as he continues to be great power source for both the Dodgers and his fantasy owners. Barring a major cold streak down the stretch Gonzalez will finish the regular season in the top 10 among his fellow first baseman after totaling over 100 RBI for the fifth consecutive season. Gonzalez is now slashing .277/.336/.473 with 23 home runs, 106 RBI and 74 runs scored over 548 at-bats this season, which is his fifth consecutive season of 100 or more runs batted in. As long as he can stay healthy down the stretch fantasy owners can expect solid production, considering how well the Dodgers offense has been playing of late. Analyst: Matthew Beck
