Latest Update Carl Crawford is not in the Dodgers starting lineup on Saturday. Sat Sep, 27, 05:05 PM
Still has great speed. Works hard to better himself in all aspects of the game--in particular the mechanics of his swing and his power. Plays more in control now.
Flaws: : Doesn't draw enough walks, and never has. In left field, he doesn't have much of an arm so opponents tend to run on him. Injuries are becoming a problem.
The red-hot Crawford will take a seat in favor of Andre Eithier on Saturday. This is Crawford's second day off in four games as the Dodgers allow him to re-energize for the playoffs. Expect him to be back in the lineup tomorrow. Analyst: Ben Diamond
Crawford could be very good for fantasy if he could play everyday and stay healthy. Fantasy players have to hope the Dodgers do something in the offseason to clear up their outfield logjam.Analyst: Steve Pimental
The Dodgers are facing Madison Bumgarner, who's a left handed pitcher, which is why Crawford is out of the lineup.Analyst: Mark Kaplan
Although the Crawford provided the Dodgers' only real pop, his lack of arm strength was his calling card Monday night. Crawford's poor throw to the plate in the 13th inning allowed the go-ahead run to score. "Crawford does a lot of things exceptionally well but the one thing he cannot do is throw as a big leaguer," said Vin Scully during the telecast. Crawford has been good over the last few months and could be a late round pick in 2015, although he's a virtual lock to spend at least a month on the DL. Analyst: Spencer Silva
