Latest Update Domonic Brown is not in the Phillies' starting lineup Wednesday. Wed Sep, 24, 06:05 PM
Has big-time home-run power and decent speed. Can also throw out runners from left field and hit for a high batting average.
Flaws: : His swing can occasionally get too long, as he tends to go for the home run a bit too often. Also, he lacks polish as a defensive outfielder.
After missing three games with a wrist injury, Brown returned to the lineup Tuesday and went 2-for-4 for the night. It's not yet known if his absence Wednesday is because of the wrist again, but it seems like it might be the case. Darin Ruf is in left field.Analyst: Howard Bender
Just as Brown was appearing to heat up, he was scratched on Friday due to a tender right wrist. He's missed two games in a row now, and will likely be out Sunday as well. Analyst: Ben Diamond
Brown landed awkwardly on his hand/wrist making a diving catch Thursday. With a series of lefties coming up, it's the perfect time to rest him before the final week of the season.Analyst: Howard Bender
This guy may have seen his ceiling in 2013, and if I were the Phillies, I would seriously consider finding a replacement for him in 2015. Sizemore could be the primary starting left fielder for the balance of 2014.Analyst: Ivar G. Anderson
