Latest Update Ichiro Suzuki went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base in the Yankees loss to the Rays on Tuesday. Tue Sep, 09, 11:14 PM
A supremely gifted outfielder with incredible baseball instincts, he's one of the greatest contact hitters ever. A prolific singles hitter & run scorer, he also has a great throwing arm & base-stealing speed.
Flaws: : Doesn't possess a lot of home-run power and doesn't hit a lot of doubles, either. Also doesn't take a lot of walks. Is not seen as a clubhouse leader, despite his superstar status. Is in sharp decline now.
Suzuki hasn't been his typical this season, but had a nice night at the plate on Tuesday. You could do worse if you need average and speed for the final few weeks. Analyst: David Kerr
Suzuki tied Hall of Famer George Sisler for 48th on MLB's all-time hit list with his 2,810th hit of his career Friday. Ironically, Ichiro also surpassed the former great's franchise single-season record of hits *257) back in 2004 when he played for the Mariners. Chances are we may see a few more record recognizing moments from the Yankees 40-year old, but that is still not enough sentiment to warrant rostering Suzuki in any format outside of say an AL-only format.Analyst: Michael Pichan
If this news actually affects your fantasy team, then I feel bad for you. Ichiro has only been able to muster one home run and a pedestrian six stolen bases this season. There is no reason he should be owned in fantasy format. Analyst: Mark Kaplan
