Latest Update Juan Uribe hits ninth home run Sun Sep, 14, 05:08 AM
Has impressive bat speed for an average-sized infielder. In the field, he's smooth with the glove and boasts a powerful arm. Is versatile enough to play anywhere in the infield.
Flaws: : He's far too much of a free swinger, rarely walking and striking out too much. Despite decent speed, he's not much of a threat on the base-paths. Injuries have become a problem, too.
Uribe is 9-for-19 with two home runs over his last six games, which has him sitting on a .304 average with nine home runs on the season. Although he doesn't offer much outside of the batting average category, Uribe is a solid play in deep leagues down the stretch. Analyst: Matthew Beck
