Earlier reports stated that the triceps surgery Vereen needed was season-ending but the team is now backtracking. Regardless, the absence will be extensive and there is absolutely no reason to use up a roster spot stashing Vereen. Cut him loose and look to pick up either Orleans Darkwa or Paul Perkins.
Chandler was sidelined for all of last season after requiring surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right hip last November. The recovery has been encouraging, but you can expect the team to take it easy on Chandler for much of camp. You may also consider the fact that the Nuggets could impose an early-season minutes restriction, so monitor his progress through camp before expecting any sort of a return to his old form.
The hype train for Carson Wentz is moving faster than a speeding bullet and far too many pundits are penciling him in as the next great starting quarterback of the NFL. He's 66-for-102 in passing for 769 yards and five touchdowns. He hasn;t thrown an interception yet which is encouraging but for anyone to even mention his name in the same sentence as Peyton Manning, they are obviously far too prone to hyperbole for you to trust. He's playing well and it's encouraging, but that should be where you stop.
