Brian Hoyer Headshot

Update: Brian Hoyer (forearm surgery) has an updated timeline of 6-8 weeks according to sources.

Hoyer had been playing quite well for the Bears prior to the unfortunate injury that happened during Thrusday's matchup with the Packers. Jay Cutler, who has been out the past several weeks due to injury, could return to the starting quarterback role in Week 8. Matt Barkley is the Bears' main backup now.

Delon Wright Headshot

Raptors have exercised contract options for Bruno Caboclo, Lucas Nogueira, and Delon Wright.

The Raptors have now set their final roster going into the season opener later this week. All three players are now under contract through the 2017-18 season.

Josh Brown Headshot

Josh Brown is not expected to appeal his placement on the Commissioner's Exempt list.

Brown has been suspended for the remainder of the season. The Giants signed veteran kicker Robbie Gould last week to take over the kicking duties. Gould his only field-goal attempt and 2-of-2 PATs in Week 7.

Aaron Williams Headshot

Aaron Williams will be re-evaluated on Monday after being released from the hospital on Sunday.

Williams suffered injuries to his head and neck during Sunday's games in Miami. It is certainly positive that his stay in the hospital was rather short, but his health status remains up in the air at the moment.

Andrew Sendejo Headshot

Andrew Sendejo will undergo an MRI on his ankle on Monday to discover the extent of the injury.

Sendejo exited the Vikings' Week 7 loss to the Eagles early with an ankle injury. The 29-year-old safety is having a solid campaign for the Vikings' defense, and any absence from game action would be a significant blow for the unit. Sendejo's status for Week 8 will become more clear in the next few days.

Ricardo Louis Headshot

Ricardo Louis led all Browns wide receivers with 50 snaps in Week 7.

Terrelle Pryor has emerged as the Browns' No. 1 wide receiver this season, but he was limited in Week 7 due to injury, so Louis saw more action. It did not translate into much, however, as Louis caught just 1-of-3 targets for five yards.

Jamaal Charles Headshot

Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid said he is willing to ease Jamaal Charles into things as the season continues after dealing with swelling in his surgically-repaired knee in Week 7.

After missing the first three games of the season then seeing a couple of carries in Week 4, reports suggested that Charles was at, or at least near, 100 percent coming out of the Chiefs' Week 5 bye. However, the star running back rushed nine times for 33 yards and a score alongside two receptions for 14 yards behind teammate Spencer Ware in a win over the Raiders in Week 6. It seemed that would serve as Charles' tuneup game, but he saw only one carry compared to Wares 17 this past Sunday against the Saints. It remains to be seen what Charles might actually be able to produce for the Chiefs going forward this season, but there is simply no rationale to relying on him in fantasy leagues. Owners should stash him on the bench if a spot is available.

Ryan Mathews Headshot

Darren Sproles and Ryan Mathews both played 26 snaps in Week 7 against Minnesota.

The time share continues in the Philadelphia backfield with Mathews still receiving a a majority of the rushing attempts. The 29-year-old running back carried the ball 14 times for 56 yards and caught one pass for 27 yards against the Vikings on Sunday.
