Perdomo went six innings Friday, giving up three runs (one earned) while striking out five against the Giants.
The 23-year-old turned in his best performance of the season Friday, notching his first quality start despite not factoring into the decision. He used his sinker and slider to attack the Giants early and often, throwing 50 of his 69 pitches for strikes. He was pulled after the sixth because manager Andy Green felt his starter struggled against the top of San Francisco's lineup, which was due to bat in the seventh. Despite the early exit, Perdomo proved that he has fully healed from the shoulder injury he suffered earlier this month. His next scheduled start against the Rockies next Thursday won't be as cushy as Friday's matchup against the struggling Giants, but it does come at home, keeping the righty in the conversation as a deep-league or NL-only option.
