Jackie Bradley Jr. Headshot

Jackie Bradley Jr. went 3 for 4 with two RBI in the Red Sox 11-9 loss to the Twins on Saturday.

Bradley Jr. now has seven hits in his last four games, and is hitting .300 on the season in an explosive Red Sox lineup. He also has 15 home runs and 60 RBI on the season to go along with seven stolen bases. Bradley, Bogaerts, and Betts are all breaking out at the right time for the Red Sox as Big Papi calls it a career after this season.

Hanley Ramirez Headshot

Hanley Ramirez was 1 for 3 with a three run home run in the Red Sox 11-9 loss to the Twins on Saturday.

HanRam has put together a solid season overall, even though owners would like to see a little more in the power department than the 12 he now has on the season. For the month of July, Ramirez is hitting .319, and he owns a line on the season of .280/.360/449 on the year.

David Ortiz Headshot

David Ortiz was 3 for 3 with two RBI and two runs scored in the Red Sox 11-9 loss to the Twins on Saturday.

Big Papi’s impressive final season is showing no signs of slowing as he contributed three more hits on Saturday. On the season, Ortiz is hitting .332, which ranks him second in the AL. His 24 home runs are fifth in the AL, and his 81 RBI are good enough for second in the AL. It remains to be seen if this season will be enough to keep Papi around for at least one more. Against Twins Sunday starter Tommy Milone, Big Papi is 3 for 10, with all three hits being homers.

David Price Headshot

David Price went 5.2 innings allowing five earned runs on 11 hits, while striking out four and walking two in the Red Sox 11-9 loss to the Twins Saturday.

To say that the former Cy Young winner has been inconsistent would be an understatement. Price has been dominant at times, and looked lost others. Overall, the ace has been much better in the month of July, posting a 2.49 ERA for the month. Overall on the season, Price is sporting a 4.36 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP, to go along with an excellent strikeout total of 141 in 130 innings pitched on the season.

Eddie Rosario Headshot

Eddie Rosario went 4 for 4 with an RBI and three runs scored in the Twins 11-9 win over the Red Sox on Saturday.

Rosario has been streaky this season, but is dialed in as of late, hitting .347 for the month of July. On the year, he owns a .262/.280/.417 line to go with five home runs and 16 RBI. Saturday’s four hit game is Rosario’s third of the season, and the second in his last nine games. The youngster is 2 for 6 in his career against Saturday’s Red Sox starter Rick Porcello, but one of those hits is a home run.

Miguel Sano Headshot

Miguel Sano was 3 for 5 with a solo home run and two runs scored in the Twins 11-9 win over the Red Sox on Saturday.

Sano was a contributor to the Twins’ offensive explosion on Saturday with his 15th homer of the season. The youngster is slashing .251/.349/.474 on the season, and is beginning to heat up after a sluggish start, as he is hitting .269 for the month of July. Saturday’s performance is also Sano’s second straight three hit game.

Eduardo Nunez Headshot

Eduardo Nunez was 2 for 6 with three RBI and a stolen base in the Twins 11-9 win over the Red Sox on Saturday.

Nunez has enjoyed the best season of his career in 2016 and Saturday kept that train rolling. On the season, the 29 year-old owns a .302/.328/.452 line, with 12 home runs, 46 RBI and 24 stolen bases, which are good enough to rank Nunez as a top five short stop. Owners who made the minimal investment are reaping the benefits of one of the biggest surprise performances in the majors this season.

Ricky Nolasco Headshot

Ricky Nolasco went two innings, allowing six runs on six hits, while striking out two and walking three in the Twins 11-9 win over the Red Sox Saturday.

On the season, Nolasco has a 5.02 ERA, a 1.35 WHIP to go along with a .290 BAA. As the numbers indicate, it has not been a very good season for the veteran, as has been the case for the Twins rotation as a group. His start Saturday was his shortest of the season. Coming into Saturday, however, Nolasco does have three straight quality starts, even though two of those starts have resulted in him taking the loss. His next start comes Friday at home against a White Sox team that is busy figuring out if they want to buy or sell at the trade deadline.

Melvin Upton Headshot

The Giants are not in the market for Melvin Upton, or any everyday position player. They are focusing on relievers.

The Giants lead the league in blown saves, so it makes sense they would focus on acquiring bullpen help despite all of the injuries to their hitters. The Giants should get some of their injured players back relatively soon, but until then, guys like Ramiro Pena, Conor Gilaspie and Gregor Blanco will continue to start most days.

Chris Sale Headshot

Chris Sale will not start Sunday.

Sale was a late scratch from Saturday's start after a clubhouse incident, and while it remains unclear when he will rejoin the rotation, it will not be Sunday. Jose Quintana will make his scheduled start, and several Tigers will be strong DFS plays as a result.
