Given the fact that we’ve all heard Jeff Mans on the radio, it would be an easy mistake to think the title of this post would relate to some sort of S&M activity with his co-hosts (yes, even Ted Schuster) or maybe even the FCC coming for him. But sadly it’s not. I post those articles on another site. For Fantasy Alarm, I stick to the fantasy football talk here and given the rash of injuries we just witnessed here in Week 2, it’s time to start talking handcuffs again.
Since when did the NFL start having rain and weather delays? We saw two games greatly affected by this in week 2 and I just can’t help but think of what the players of the 1960’s & 1970’s would think of this? The weather derailed a few high octane offenses in New Orleans, San Francisco and Tampa Bay. Week 2 was also the week of the injured RB as we saw no fewer than four starting RB’s go down with significant injuries this week. Here is a full recap of all the fantasy football news and notes that you won’t find in the local boxscores.
What happened in Week 2 of the NFL season? That's what we'll discuss in this article. We won't touch on Thursday Night Football in this piece. That's so yesterday. We also won't touch on Sunday Night Football because we wanted to get this info out to you as soon as we could and that meant we posted this before the game was complete. What we will touch on is some of the best and brightest of Week 2, those that failed to live up to expectations, and all those running backs that seem to have picked up an injury in the NFL's second week.
Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Week 1 of the NFL regular season and the first Sunday of your 2013 fantasy season! Every week, I’ll be doing game capsules, much like I did the other day for the Denver/Baltimore game. But due to scheduling conflicts caused by the holiday weekend earlier in the week, there is little or no time for that to be done here. So instead, I’m just going to go game by game and throw you a relevant fantasy thought or two that may be helpful to you for this week.
