It's Week 6, and things are starting to crystallize in the world of fantasy football. Guys like Vick and Daniels can't stay healthy, what a shock. Guys like Brees and Romo continue to get it done, what a shock. Youngsters like Lacy and Cameron are establishing themselves as weekly starters. Which fellas on the gridiron have the best matchups for Week 6? So glad you asked as we've got a lot of information to share with you in your quest to emerge with the “W” in the sixth week of the NFL season.
Week 4 is the end of the beginning of the 2013 Fantasy Football Season. At this point in the season we can fairly sit back and judge what we have seen thus far and not call it an overreaction. This week pretty much stayed true to for in that we had a number of significant injuries to deal with, more big performances from guys like Adrian Peterson & Jordan Cameron and more failures from the likes of C.J. Spiller & Roddy White. Week 4 also saw more historic performances from Peyton Manning and the Broncos offense on the good side and from Blaine Gabbert and the Jaguars on the miserable side. Let’s relive all of the highs and lows from Week 4 with a full recap of all 15 Sunday Games.
It's Week 4 of the NFL season meaning we've got data to review in order to help us to make more informed decisions in fantasy football. That doesn't mean there is ever unanimity if you ask the experts, and it doesn't mean that the numbers always lead to the correct answer. However history matters a bit, as does current levels of production, usage, matchups etc. This week we'll share our thoughts on some of the better Week 4 matchups out there as you try to continue building upon what was hopefully a solid start to the football season for your fantasy club (who are we kidding, there's no way anyone reading this has only one fantasy football team).
Given the fact that we’ve all heard Jeff Mans on the radio, it would be an easy mistake to think the title of this post would relate to some sort of S&M activity with his co-hosts (yes, even Ted Schuster) or maybe even the FCC coming for him. But sadly it’s not. I post those articles on another site. For Fantasy Alarm, I stick to the fantasy football talk here and given the rash of injuries we just witnessed here in Week 2, it’s time to start talking handcuffs again.
What happened in Week 2 of the NFL season? That's what we'll discuss in this article. We won't touch on Thursday Night Football in this piece. That's so yesterday. We also won't touch on Sunday Night Football because we wanted to get this info out to you as soon as we could and that meant we posted this before the game was complete. What we will touch on is some of the best and brightest of Week 2, those that failed to live up to expectations, and all those running backs that seem to have picked up an injury in the NFL's second week.
Well now that was quite the opening week for the NFL now, wasn’t it? We saw some high-powered offenses, some tough defensive plays, and plenty of fantasy scoring to go around. Surprisingly, the number of injuries was held to a minimum, yet the waiver wire will be a hot-bed of action this week as we also saw a few names emerge from the shadows to take center stage. With so much to talk about, let’s just get started right away with a collection of notes from around the league and the potential fantasy fallout that you as an owner may need to address.
