But the more information you have, the better off you are and some of the most useful advice pieces are the ones that have the most updated injury information and expected team game plans. So with that, here are some of my last-minute thoughts with regard to the NFL Week 6 match-ups and how they should be affecting your fantasy football lineup. Remember, we’re not here to tell you that you should start Drew Brees or Marshawn Lynch, so unless the match-up is so ridiculously unfavorable, we’ll just assume that you are wisely keeping your studs in your active lineup. We’re getting ready to start up Week 6 of the NFL which means the fantasy football season is about to hit its midway point in many leagues. That means wins are more crucial than ever. Falling below .500 at this point puts you strongly in danger of missing your playoffs and putting you on the path towards holiday depression. Five games into the season and you’ve got one guy with 41 catches, 580 yards and two touchdowns. Deeee-lish. Three games with over 100 yards and four out of five weeks with double-digit fantasy points in standard leagues; double-digit points in all five in PPR play. Fantastic. These were the joys celebrated by Julio Jones owners everywhere….until word came down after the Falcons’ Monday night loss to the Jets that Jones was hurt. And not just ‘sit out practice, miss a week’ hurt. We’re talking real hurt. Hurt hurt. Hurt your fantasy team hurt.
