Chris Tierney Headshot

Tierney had two helpers in Saturday's win over the Canucks.

They were the first points in nine games for Tierney, who had been struggling to produce offense. The 22-year-old skates on the third line and has chipped in with six goals, but he's been too inconsistent to be trusted in most formats. He's still on track for a career year, however, and is capable of having a big night, so you can do worse if you're searching for a depth guy.

Nick Castellanos Headshot

Castellanos (illness) is feeling better but remains out of the lineup for the Tigers on Sunday, Evan Woodbury of MLive reports.

He is feeling well enough to hit and throw lightly, but won't play today against the Mets. It isn't anything serious, and he'll likely be back in the lineup for the next spring game.
11:48 am (EST)
Ryan Carter Headshot

Carter (shoulder) signed a prorated one-year, two-way contract with the Wild on Sunday, Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Carter's career appeared in jeopardy following surgery on his right shoulder last season, but he will receive another shot with the Wild. However, it's unlikely the veteran will make enough of an impact to be worthy of consideration in the vast majority of fantasy leagues. He only tallied 15 points in his best NHL season. The contract suggests he's no longer dealing with a shoulder issue.

Jeremy Lin Headshot

Lin registered nine points (4-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two assists and one steal over 15 minutes in Saturday's 112-95 loss to the Warriors.

Lin once again played just 15 minutes in his second game back from a hamstring injury, putting together another efficient effort in his modest time on the court. The seven-year veteran has scored 16 points in his first 30 minutes back on the floor after his lengthy absence, and could return to serving as an above-average source of scoring and assists in particular once he's back to a full allotment of minutes.
11:45 am (EST)
Tim Cooney Headshot

Cooney (forearm) will miss 10-12 weeks with a strained left forearm, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

This is another unfortunate setback for the southpaw, who missed all of the 2016 campaign with a shoulder injury. He was a long shot to make the big league roster for The Tribe, but now he'll get a late start to the season and will have to work his way back to full strength before he can serve an organizational role.
11:44 am (EST)
Zac Dalpe Headshot

Dalpe was recalled from AHL Iowa on Sunday.

Dalpe was activated from injured reserve and sent to the minors in December, having drawn into just nine games this season at the top level. He does have three points in those contests, but his lack of anticipated ice time and absence from the man advantage dulls most of his fantasy appeal.
11:44 am (EST)
Justin Bour Headshot

Bour hit fifth in Saturday's Grapefruit League opener against the Cardinals, going 1-for-2 with a solo home run.

The blast came off St. Louis closer Seung Hwan Oh, making for an impressive start to Bour's spring campaign. Injuries limited the 28-year-old to 90 games last season, but his .264/.349/.475 slash line was a step up from his rookie performance in 2015 thanks to an improved walk rate, and if he continues hitting behind Christian Yelich and Giancarlo Stanton during the regular season, he should be able to top his career high of 73 RBI.
11:42 am (EST)
Patrick Marleau Headshot

Marleau netted the game-winning goal Saturday against the Canucks.

It was the 22nd goal of the season for Marleau, who continues to get it done against the Canucks. The veteran has scored in back-to-back games and remains a dynamite fantasy threat on one of the top teams in the Western Conference. His 35 points in 61 games are nothing out of the ordinary, but Marleau is a reliable goal-scorer who finds the back of the net consistently. Use him well.
11:40 am (EST)
Christian Yelich Headshot

Yelich got the start in center field and hit third during Saturday's Grapefruit League opener against the Cardinals, going 1-for-1 with a walk and a two-run home run.

The blast came off St. Louis closer Seung Hwan Oh, giving Yelich a running start to his spring campaign. The 25-year-old will be joining Team USA for the WBC next week, as he looks set to build off his breakout 2016 season in which he slugged 21 homers, more than he'd hit in the previous three years combined.
11:38 am (EST)
Trevor Booker Headshot

Booker provided 12 points (6-9 FG), 10 rebounds and one assist over 27 minutes in Saturday's 112-95 loss to the Warriors.

Booker considerably outproduced starting power forward Joe Harris over the same amount of playing time, posting his seventh double-digit scoring effort over the last eight games in the process. The seventh-year big man also has five double-doubles over that span, rendering him a highly appealing fantasy option for scoring and rebounding despite his current role on the second unit.
