For the second time in five years, Ramos suffered a torn ACL, with the latest one coming this past September 26. Prior to the injury, Ramos put up career high numbers in batting average, home runs, RBI, on-base-plus-slugging percentage and games played. The Nationals can sign Ramos to a qualifying offer of what should be around $17 million for next season, but Ramos would like to test the free agency market in hopes to sign a long term deal this off-season.
Norman was cleared to make the flight to London, as well as taking part in practice today. He was knocked out last week against the Lions, and hopes to be cleared by concussion protocol to match up against Green at Wembley Stadium. If he cant play, Green gets a nice boost. The trend of multiple concussions for NFL players continues, as this was Norman's third over the last three seasons.
Reed has missed the last two games with a concussion, but was cleared to practice and make the trip to London. Reed stated that he is feeling 100%, and ready to play on Sunday. Reed is only 26 years old, but has suffered five concussions already in his career. He may feel 100%, but the Redskins would be wise to take some caution with Reed. When playing though, he is always a must start in fantasy leagues.
All signs point to Jones being held out of Sunday's game in London. Robert Kelly should get the first crack at starting, with Thompson also seeing an increase in touches.
Johnson was activated due to Teddy Williams being placed on IR. Johnson played in four games for the Patriots last season, recording 11 tackles and three pass deflections.
Williams left practice early on Thursday, and the injury has moved him to the IR list. The move opened up a spot for CB Leonard Johnson. Johnson was released by the Patriots over the offseason, and signed by Carolina to a one year deal.
Williams injured his knee just a few seconds into the game vs the Lions, and had to be carted off the field. The MRI on Monday showed no damage, and was able to be a limited participant in practice this week, and expected to be on the field in London this Sunday.
Murray had to leave the game in the second quarter with a foot injury, but did return to the game in the second half. Both Murray and Henry had nice games with Murray finishing with 21 carries for 123 yards, and Henry totaling 60 yards of 16 carries. Both backs managed to find the end zone in the Titan's win last night.
Anderson had surgery to repair a torn meniscus on Thursday, and it wasn't just a success, but he tweeted shortly afterwards that it was a "super success." Anderson has been placed on IR, and will more than likely miss the remainder of the season. Devontae Booker will take over as the lead back for the Broncos with Kapri Bibbs backing him up.
