When this week’s games are over, we’ll have completed roughly one-third of the fantasy football season and it’s at this point where you’ll see whether your team has what it takes to compete in the playoffs or if an overhaul is needed via the trade front. Waiver wire picks will help supplement, but there’s currently nothing out there that will push you over the hump if your squad is struggling. And what’s most important this week is the watchful eye that you must keep on some of this season’s biggest disappointments and early-season strugglers. It’s a make-it-or-break-it week for many players. If they shine, then you have hope that replacements aren’t needed. But if they continue to struggle, you are left with the choice of either selling-low to salvage what you can or simply just cutting bait and accept your losses. Here are a few players whose owners will be locked onto their performances this week. Will they redeem themselves finally or have they just been a waste of a high draft choice this whole time?
So Andy Reid is bringing his 2-0 Chiefs into Philadelphia for a reunion with his old team. Incentives to win? I’d say so. With that little bit of added drama, which always makes for some extra fun and entertainment, we’ve got two teams who are capable of putting up a fair amount of points this week and that is certainly going to make for some interesting fantasy football fallout. All signs are pointing to this one being an “all hands on deck” type of game for your fantasy players, similar to how you wanted to start everyone in the Denver/Baltimore Thursday night game during Week 1. There should be points galore and you’re going to want to take advantage of it. Here’s how I see this game unfolding for the fantasy community.
Since when did the NFL start having rain and weather delays? We saw two games greatly affected by this in week 2 and I just can’t help but think of what the players of the 1960’s & 1970’s would think of this? The weather derailed a few high octane offenses in New Orleans, San Francisco and Tampa Bay. Week 2 was also the week of the injured RB as we saw no fewer than four starting RB’s go down with significant injuries this week. Here is a full recap of all the fantasy football news and notes that you won’t find in the local boxscores.
