Manaea will be activated off of the 15-day disabled list as he comes back from a strained forearm. It has been a tough rookie season for Manaea as he is just 2-4 with a 6.02 ERA over his first nine career starts.
In his fist start since returning from the 15-day disabled list with a biceps injury Velasquez picked up right where he left off as he tossed five scoreless innings for his sixth win. The Phillies' youngster is now sitting 6-2 with a 3.38 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and a 80:22 K:BB rate through 66.2 innings, and considering his solid walk rate Velasquez makes for a solid start in all fantasy formats, especially if his strikeouts keep flowing like they have in his first season with the Phillies. He will look to keep up the pace when he takes on the Royals on Sunday.
