He suffered a left knee sprain and some sort of ankle injury in the seventh inning of Wednesday's game against the Rays while trying to dodge a tag at second base. He'll be undergoing an MRI, after which the Red Sox will give an update. This could be a huge loss if he's forced to miss the rest of the season.
Big Papi will take a seat for a day game against Jake Odorizzi after an 11 inning night game. He's having one of the better years of his career, in his last year, hitting .322/.412/.637 with 30 HR and 100 RBI. He'll be back in the lineup tomorrow against Royals RHP Ian Kennedy.
The ankle injury Martin suffered was initially called a high-ankle sprain, but it's apparent it was a lot more severe, with it likely that there was ligament damage. Martin being out until 2017 leaves a huge hole for the Texans and undrafted sophomore Greg Mancz will try to fill the void.
He was then seen back on the side of practice with his right hamstring wrapped. The Bucs sixth-round pick will be looking to make an impact on special teams to start his career.
The reports of Barner have been outstanding this offseason. You never know what can happen though, in terms of injury and player ineffectiveness, so keep an eye on Barner.
This one was coming. Ridley played behind Zach Zenner, George Winn and rookie Dwayne Washington. Someone may give him a shot, but Ridley hasn't been productive since a star 2012 season with the Patriots. At 27, Ridley may be nearing the end.
Head coach Bill O'Brian told reporters that Miller's day was a "a little rest day", suggesting he should be available for the Texans third preseason game against the Cardinals. Miller's had a good camp and has been taking reps as the teams starting slot-man. He's someone to keep an eye on to see how they're used.
With all the missed practice time, it's almost certain Listenbee will be apart of the practice squad. A burner out of TCU, Listenbee is unlikely to get much time on the Bills roster this season.
He suffered a brutal injury in a Week 16 win last season and is still trying to come back from a dislocated kneecap and broken knee. He remains a long shot to make the roster even if he can get his knee right.
