FanThrowdown.com is one of the newest sites to hit the daily fantasy industry, but that doesn’t mean they’re behind the ball. The site launched in January of 2012 and has already made some serious headway. In just a few months’ time the guys over at FTD were able to make enough traction to receive a major investment deal from MGT Capital Investments. Located in FanThrowdown ReviewSaratoga Springs, NY, FanThrowdown received $200,000 in cash from MGT as well as 627,500 shares of restricted common stock, in exchange for 65% ownership interest in FanTD LLC. So just in case you’re wondering, yes, your money is very, very, safe.

FanThrowdown did a superb job of bringing a sleek, creative, and fun site to the industry. They’re constantly making new updates, adding new features, and providing some of the best customer service in the industry.

FTD offers fantasy baseball, basketball, hockey, golf, football, college basketball and college football.

The scoring system is solid on FTD, but don’t expect to score as many points as you would on other sites. It’s nothing personal, and since everyone plays by the same rules I really take no issue with it. It’s just a matter of preference.

One example is with pitchers only getting one point for complete games and no bonus points for a shutout, perfect game, or no-hitter.

As of July 2013 they changed their salary cap to 100k and added a second pitcher to their baseball games.

    Daily Fantaasy Review

From time to time FanThrowdown has run huge Double-Up GPPs with overlay worked in. I’m not just talkin’ a few dollars here and there, either. They’ve added hundreds of dollars to prize pools giving the majority of the games’ entrants the opportunity to double their money. Making money in daily fantasy can’t get much easier–seriously.

Free games are available nearly every day and entry fees start at just $1.10 and go all the way up to $530. While FanThrowdown doesn’t offer the biggest GPPs in the industry, you can find tourneys where you get a decent bang for your buck. 10, 20, and 30-person tourneys are run daily, and some days you can find bigger ones during their promotional events. They have already begun to grow their GPPs with the roll out of the $5K Friday Night Fights and many more are to come.

All PayPal withdraws are processed within 48 hours and check payments take 3-5 days. PayPal could be done a little bit quicker, but 48 hours certainly isn’t the worst I’ve ever heard of, and they do typically process withdraws within 12 hours. Again, your money is 100% safe and secure.

FanThrowdown’s lobby is one of the more appealing and definitely one of the sleekest in all of fantasy sports. I love the sliding banner at the top with the great original graphics and promotional info. If you see something that peeks your interest just click on the graphic and it will take you to the information page where it will explain all of the rules.

Unlike some sites, their live chat is off to the side where it’s nonintrusive and can be ignored or used at your discretion.

Directly below said banners you’ll see two options that allow you to create your own league(s). They give you options to create any league type you want and to utilize any current sport, as well as the option for a head-to-head or large league size. You can also create a private league if you just want to play with your friends or family.

   Daily Fantasy Sports Review

Whether you’re a big money or a high quantity user FanThrowdown’s Late Swap function is ideal. With one click of the mouse you can easily replace a player in all of your lineups in seconds. They also have great import/export options that are very easy to use and understand. If you’re a new user, using this site is a breeze.

The only negative I would say is that they give new users far too many options in their filtering system. They do, however, offset this by allowing you to save your favorite filters so once you figure it out you don’t have to worry about doing it again.
