Derrick Rose Headshot

Derrick Rose said he doesn't mind playing second fiddle to Carmelo Anthony.

Rose is looking to start fresh in New York, as he has not played in more than 66 games since the 2010-'11 season. In 2015-'16 Rose averaged 16.4 points and 4.7 assists. The Knicks go into the season with Rose, Anthony and youngster Kristaps Porzingis, which figures to be a talented core. Rose is worth drafting, but do not overpay for him.

Nearing the end of his best season as a pro, LeMahieu is batting .350. Daniel Murphy is on his heels, hitting .347 on the season, with Joey Votto hitting .324 in a distant third place. It would be the first career batting title for both LeMahieu and Murphy

Kevin Durant Headshot

When asked about his role with the Warriors, Kevin Durant told reporters, "It's going to be an easier transition for me than people think."

Durant shocked the hoops world when he decided to join the Warriors, instead of beating them. While he says it will be easy, there is only one ball to go around. It would hard to think the Warriors stars will not all take a bit of a hit in fantasy production, but Durant, Curry, and Green still figure to be big contributors in fantasy.

DeMarre Carroll was able to practice on Tuesday, but is still working his way back from a knee injury.

Carroll is looking to be ready for the season opener, and still has a little time to get to that point. In his first season in Toronto, the veteran averaged 11 points and 4.7 rebounds. There is some sleeper potential here.

Since being the sixth overall pick in the 2007 draft, Jianlian has averaged 7.9 points in his time in the NBA, however, he has not played in the league since 2012. He has played in China since then, and has posted some solid numbers. It remains to be seen how much improved he will be against the best competition in the world. Ignore him for now in all formats.

Drew Pomeranz Headshot

Drew Pomeranz (arm) won't start the rest of the season.

Concerns about Pomeranz's forearm and elbow, as well as a career high in innings have the Red Sox looking at a bullpen role for the youngster in the postseason. Pomeranz was scratched from Thursday's start amid concerns over the arm, and Henry Owens will get the nod in his place.

Corey Kluber Headshot

Corey Kluber has been diagnosed with a mild strain of his quadriceps muscles and is expected to return in 7-to-10 days.

Positive news for the Indians as they are headed to the postseason. On the year, the former Cy Young winner posted a 3.14 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP, to go along with 227 strikeouts in 215.1 innings.

Eli Rogers Headshot

Steelers are unsure how long Eli Rogers (toe) will be out, but noted that he has a lot of work to do if he is to play in Week 4.

Rogers is in a walking boot and has been called "very questionable" by Steelers' head coach Mike Tomlin. So far in three games, the rookie has nine catches for 100 yards and a touchdown. Sammie Coates figures to get a bump up the depth chart, but with the way the Steelers' offense has looked so far, it is hard to have confidence in anyone other than Antonio Brown.

Dante Exum Headshot

Dante Exum said his knee is completely healed form his 2015 ACL tear.

Exum has not played since his rookie season of 2014-15, and with the Jazz acquiring Pacers' veteran point guard George Hill, the youngster figures to begin the year coming off the bench. He does not figure to get enough minutes to warrant your consideration on draft day 2016. Ignore him for now in all formats.

Antonio Smith Headshot

Texans will re-sign Antonio Smith on Wednesday once the team places J.J. Watt on injured reserve.

Smith recorded 2.5 sacks in 2015 and appeared in all 16 games. He will try and make up some of J.J. Watt's production, but finding anyone to come close would be impossible. He will not figure to have much of an impact in Watt's absence.
