Roddy White Headshot

Rodddy White has been in contact with a few teams. He wants to play in 2016.

We heard Roddy White say last month that if he did not sign with a Super Bowl contender, he will retire. He had a terrible time in 2015 under Falcons' OC Kyle Shanahan and does not want to go out on that note. The 11-year veteran has 10,863 career receiving yards and 63 career touchdowns. You should not expect White to get anymore than a minimum deal.

Devin Hester Headshot

Update: Devin Hester has no plans to retire.

This might not be his decision but good on him for keeping the dream alive. He is basically a kick returner at this point and with the new kick-off rules, there is not much opportunity for him to be effective anymore. It could be the end of the NFL road for the 33-year-old. He is still recovering from surgery to repair two broken sesamoid bones in his right big toe back in January. Hester is still not 100 percent healthy and was probably not going to make the team even if he was at this point in his career.

Dion Jordan Headshot

Dion Jordan has no update on the status of his potential reinstatement, head coach Adam Gase said Tuesday.

The former number three overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft has been far from effective on the field. He repeatedly violated the terms of his rookie contract, which means the Dolphins are no longer obligated to pay him any his roster bonuses moving forward. Jordan has applied for reinstatement after being suspended by the NFL for all of the 2015 season. We should get clarification on this situation by the end of the week.

Corey Wootton Headshot

Corey Wootton announces retirement from the NFL.

The 29-year-old Wootton will finish his career on the Lions' injured reserve after tearing his pectoral last preseason. In 2012, Wootten finished the season with seven sacks and two forced fumbles over 16 appearances for the Bears. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2010 draft by Chicago. He will finish his career with 12 sacks and 87 tackles.

Dwight Freeney Headshot

Thomas Dimitroff said the Falcons are still looking at Dwight Freeney.

The 36-year-old Freeney proved that he still has a little left in the tank after recording 8.5 sacks with the Cardinals in 2015. He has 119.5 quarterback take downs in his career and the Falcons are toying with the idea of bringing him in on a one-year deal. We will see if Dimitroff pulls the trigger.

Devin Hester Headshot

Falcons released KR/WR Devin Hester.

It has been a long road to recover for Hester after having surgery to repair two broken sesamoid bones in his right big toe back in January. Hester is still not 100 percent healthy and was probably not going to make the team even if he was at this point in his career. He is basically a kick returner at this point and with the new kick-off rules, there is not much opportunity for him to be effective anymore. It could be the end of the NFL road for the 33-year-old.

Tre Mason Headshot

Tre Mason’s family is worried about his mental state after the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Dept. was called to his house five times since March 28.

In the past four months, Mason has been spiraling out of control. He has been involved with the police on five separate occasions over that time. Just this last Saturday, multiple units were called to Mason's home in the middle of the afternoon. We all hope that he can get the help he needs. There is very little chance that he will be on the Week 1 roster.

Koji Uehara Headshot

Red Sox do not have a clear time table for Koji Uehara's return.

It is never good when your GM says, "The injury is unusual. There’s not a lot of track record on this one." Dombrowski added, "So I do not have any idea. I know he’ll be out 15 days, but I can’t tell you if it’s going to be soon after that or long after that." Uehara went down last Tuesday and has already received a platelet-rich plasma to help with the healing process. The Red Sox are hopeful he can return before the end of the season but no one really knows at this point. Brad Ziegler will assume the closing duties until Craig Kimbrel returns next week.

Dee Gordon Headshot

Dee Gordon (suspension) will rejoin the Marlins on Thursday.

Gordon's serving the final couple of days before his suspension's lifted on Thursday and will likely slide back into the leadoff spot for the Marlins. He's gone 7-for-27 (.259) over seven minor league games with Triple-A New Orleans but after a slow start, he's hit safely in each of his last five games. Gordon has the type of speed to make a huge impact over the last couple of months of the season, especially in roto leagues. This should be obvious, but if he's still available anywhere, it's past the time to pick him back up.

Chris Bosh Headshot

Chris Bosh and the Heat do not appear to have solved their disagreement just yet. Bosh’s use of blood thinners could keep him off the court into 2016-17 and beyond.

If he stops taking them, he should be able to play. It's unlikely that he'll be able to play a contact sport while on them, though, as this can potentially be a huge issue. It's very possible Bosh takes this issue to the NBA player's union if he and the Heat can't come to some sort of an agreement. Bosh still has plenty left in the tank and it'd be a shame to see him forced into an early retirement due to health problems. Stay tuned.
