Pekka Rinne Headshot

Rinne led the Predators onto the ice for warmups Saturday against the Sharks, making it likely he will get the home start.

Rinne has picked up four wins in a row, and in his last three games he's allowed exactly one goal in each game. Nashville is also 22-8-7 at home another point in Rinne's favor.

Michal Neuvirth Headshot

Neuvirth made 20 saves on 21 shots but that wasn't good enough, as the Flyers fell to the Blue Jackets 1-0.

Although it's great to see Neuvirth post his first strong start in more than a month, it was wasted because the Flyers couldn't solve Sergei Bobrovsky. Neuvirth hasn't put together a good season, but he came into Saturday with a .926 save percentage during day games and that will only improve after Saturday. If owners need him as a stream option, he's trustworthy in the afternoon, but Neuvirth doesn't provide much else value.

Austin Jackson Headshot

The Indians have a roster decision to make on Jackson, who is in camp on a minor-league deal. Jackson has an opt-out clause for Sunday.

Jackson has had a solid spring at the plate, but he might not be needed if Michael Brantley is finally back to 100 percent. It's possible he sticks around with the big club, he could accept at role with Triple-A Columbus or he might decide he has a better chance with another organization. Either way his fantasy future is rather murky.

Richie Shaffer Headshot

Shaffer is competing for an Opening Day roster spot at third base, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Shaffer, the first-round pick of the Rays back in 2012, split time between the majors and Triple-A level last season for Tampa Bay. He appeared in 20 games with the big club but didn't do anything of note outside of his high strikeout percentage.
7:23 pm (EST)
Erik Gonzalez Headshot

Gonzalez is among a handful of players battling for the starting third base job on Opening Day, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Gonzalez is in the hunt for the starting third base job with Jose Ramirez expected to slide over to second base with Jason Kipnis (shoulder) on the shelf. He will be battling Giovanny Urshela, Yandy Diaz and Richie Shaffer for the gig.
7:12 pm (EST)
Lance Thomas Headshot

Thomas (hip) has been ruled out for Saturday's matchup against the Spurs.

Despite being upgraded to questionable, Thomas will ultimately sit out for Saturday's tilt against the Spurs with a sore hip. As a result, Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Kyle O'Quinn will likely see additional run.
7:12 pm (EST)
Marreese Speights Headshot

Speights scored 11 points (4-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding 10 rebounds, three blocks and two assists in 22 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 108-95 win over the Jazz.

It's his fourth double-double of the season, and came in a crucial win that not only secured a playoff spot for the Clippers but put them a half-game behind the Jazz for the fourth seed in the Western Conference and home court advantage in the first round. With Los Angeles' frontcourt healthy, though, there isn't much court time available for Speights right now -- Saturday's 22 minutes were his most in a game since late January.
7:10 pm (EST)
Jose Ramirez Headshot

Ramirez is expected to work at second base while Jason Kipnis (shoulder) is sidelined, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

The Indians want to get their money's worth out of Ramirez after just inking him to a four-year contract extension this week. The team will have a battle in the remaining weeks of camp to determine who will start at the hot corner with Ramirez sliding over to the cornerstone.
7:09 pm (EST)
Carmelo Anthony Headshot

Anthony (knee) will be sidelined for Saturday's matchup against the Spurs.

Anthony's left knee soreness that caused him to miss Thursday's loss to the Trail Blazers is seemingly still giving him issues, and he'll be absent for Saturday's matchup against the Spurs. Mindaugas Kuzminskas will likely draw another start in Anthony's place and see extended run, while Justin Holiday could also see an expanded role in the Knicks' rotation.
7:08 pm (EST)
Derrick Rose Headshot

Rose (foot) will play during Saturday's tilt against the Spurs.

Despite dealing with soreness in his right foot after sustaining an injury during Wednesday's tilt against the Jazz, Rose will suit up for Saturday's matchup against the Spurs. As a result, Ron Baker will probably head back to the bench and see a reduced role.
