Cody Allen picked up his 16th save of the season on Wednesday night against the Braves.

By no means is Allen the most reliable closer in the league, but with the Indians winning streak extending into double-digits, there is no doubt that he will have plenty more opportunities going forward. He should be an excellent source of saves for the remainder of the season.

Lonnie Chisenhall went 1-for-4 with a home run (5) on Wednesday night against the Braves.

Not only is Chisenhall having himself a fine season, but currently he couldn’t be any hotter at the plate. Coming off of three consecutive multi-hit games, including a four hit effort on the 26th, Chisenhall hit a home run on Wednesday night, giving him now three round trippers in his last four games. He should be considered a DFS darling for the next few games, at least until his hot streak cools off. Once he comes back down to earth, if he can maintain reasonable production, Chisenhall may be worth an add in deeper formats and AL Only leagues.

Joel De La Cruz went six innings, allowed three runs on seven hits and one walk, while he struck out one in a loss to the Indians on Wednesday night.

He didn’t pitch poorly at all on Wednesday night, but unfortunately his lineup ran into the buzz saw that is Danny Salazar, making it a seemingly impossible task for De La Cruz to pick up the win in his first big league start. The belief is that after pitching well here De La Cruz will get another start and a shot to make the Braves rotation that is in a current state of flux.

Danny Salazar went seven innings, allowed zero runs on five hits, while he struck out eight in a win over the Braves on Wednesday night.

Salazar’s magical season continues, as he tossed yet another gem, tallying seven innings of shutout baseball to go along with eight K’s. The 26-year old couldn’t have imagined a better first half to his 2016, and while this type of form may be difficult to maintain, there is no doubt that he should remain one of the top fantasy pitchers going forward.

Matt Purke was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte.

He allowed two earned runs today and was unable to record an out. His struggled extend past today, however, so the optioning to Triple-A Charlotte shouldn't come as a major surprise. He will continue to hone his craft at the minor league level in an effort to get recalled back up to the major league bullpen.

Dave Roberts said he has received no info on Clayton Kershaw's back exam yet.

Any baseball fan, especially fantasy owners of Kershaw, is anxiously awaiting any news about the ace's stiff back. Hopefully it's just soreness and he doesn't have to miss a start, but hopefully we can get some information tomorrow. Stay tuned.
