Ubaldo Jimenez Headshot

Orioles and Padres have discussed a Melvin Upton for Ubaldo Jimenez and prospects trade.

The O's are dealing with some injuries to their outfield and Upton is having a really solid season which sees him hitting .259 with 46 runs, 16 home runs, 45 RBI and 20 stolen bases. In return the Padres would be receiving the struggling Ubaldo Jimenez who is 5-9 with a 7.38 ERA this season. A change of scenery and more importantly a move from the A.L to the N.L could be good for Jimenez should this trade go through. The Padres are rumored to be looking to deal off Andrew Cashner so Jimenez could be a replacement for him should any trade involving Cashner occur.

McCullers was electric on Friday as he struck out 10 Angels in his loss McCullers hasn’t been quite the same pitcher he was during his rookie campaign but that doesn’t mean he’s been extremely effective. McCullers is an elite talent and this won’t be the last double-digit strikeout game he has this season.
