Gary Neal Headshot

Hawks signed Gary Neal to a 10-day contract.

The Hawks traded veteran point guard Mo Williams in order to free up a roster spot for Neal. The 32-year-old will battle for playing time with Tim Hardaway Jr. and Kent Bazemore so it’s hard to imagine Neal having much fantasy upside. Fantasy owners can avoid this situation until Neal’s role is more clear and if he is able to latch on for the remainder of the season.

Mo Williams Headshot

Mo Williams has been traded to the Nuggets.

Williams is expected to be waived by the Nuggets, so this move was more to free up roster space for the Hawks and for the Nuggets to receive some cash. The veteran point guard hasn’t played a minute this season and probably won’t anytime soon. Fantasy owners can continue to avoid this situation.

Carson Blair Headshot

White Sox signed Carson Blair to a minor league contract.

Blair missed the entire 2016 season, but has been signed to a minor league deal with Chicago. He doesn't hold much fantasy value as he's only logged 35 career plate appearances, in which he's struck out 18 times.

Jason Bourgeois Headshot

White Sox re-signed Jason Bourgeois to a minor league contract.

Bourgeois is 35 years old and hasn't appeared in the majors since 2015. He may make an appearance with the White Sox in a handful of games this season, but he didn't register a single plate appearance in 2016 and there are younger more talented players on the roster ahead of him.

Mitch Harris Headshot

Mitch Harris (elbow) expects to throw without limits by the end of the month.

During spring training in 2016 Harris experienced some arm soreness, which forced him to miss the start of the season. After undergoing Tommy John surgery in June his season was officially over. Harris is a long shot to make the Cardinals roster for opening day and he doesn't have much fantasy value as he's mostly used in relief.

Jadeveon Clowney Headshot

Jadeveon Clowney will not play in the Pro Bowl.

Clowney likely won't be the only player to miss out on the Pro Bowl. It's likely a safety precaution as most players don't want to risk injury that could compromise their status for next season. Clowney's replacement isn't yet known at this time.

Cory Luebke Headshot

White Sox have agreed to a minor league contract with Cory Luebke,

Luebke will be 32 by the time the season starts and will begin 2017 in the minors with the Chicago White Sox. Luebke has appeared sporadically in the majors throughout his career and will likely play role of spot starter this season. Last year he gave up 9 earned runs in 8.2 innings pitched so he holds little fantasy value heading into the upcoming season.

Brandon Ingram Headshot

Brandon Ingram is expected to start Tuesday.

Ingram will get the start Tuesday night as Luol Deng is sidelined with a wrist injury. X-Rays were negative on Deng's wrist so there was no fracture. However, the Lakers have stated he would be out indefinitely so Ingram and Nick Young are in line for significant playing time.

Roman Quinn Headshot

Roman Quinn will likely open the 2017 season at Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Quinn is currently ranked as Philadelphia's 7th-best prospect and briefly got called up at the end of last season. He's gradually worked his way up the minor league system with the Phillies since being drafted in 2011, but the 23-year-old will likely start the year in Triple-A unless a major injury opens a spot for him on the big league roster. Regardless Quinn will likely get an opportunity to play in the majors at some point this season.

Will Barton Headshot

Will Barton is expected to start on Tuesday.

Barton gets the start in place of Gary Harris who is nursing an ankle injury. Barton becomes an intriguing DFS option moving forward if Harris is unable to play Thursday night against San Antonio. Barton could potentially see 30+ minutes of action Tuesday night.
