Outfielder Byron Buxton gets a day-off for the Twins going up against the Braves and Michael Folteynewicz on Wednesday. Buxton enters Wednesday on a four game hitting streak, but has struggled greatly for the season. The Twins’ former Top Prospect is hitting .207 with just 1 home run and 15 RBIs in 57 games and 179 at bats. His fantasy value for this season is very low unless he can turn it around soon.
After missing the entire 2015 season, this is great news for the third year Wide Receiver in Charlotte. Benjamin had an outstanding rookie season in 2014 scoring 9 touchdowns and catching 73 passes for 1008 yards finishing the season as the #15 WR in PPR leagues. He was an early round pick in 2015 before tearing the ACL in his left knee in training camp. Kelvin Benjamin will be drafted this season as a /WR2 and has the benefit of playing receiver for Cam Newton who is coming off a career year of 35 Touchdown Passes.
Kuechly underwent surgery to repair a partially torn labrum in February but all indications were that he would be ready for training camp. It appears those indications were correct as the star linebacker has been cleared to start practicing. This is great news both for the Panthers D/ST, and Luke Kuechly as one of the top IDP picks for 2016. Kuechly racked up 118 tackles, a sack, 4 interceptions and a fumble recovery in only 13 games last season.
