Unfortunately for both parties, Pomeranz started suffering from forearm soreness, and needed to be scratched from seeral regular seasons games, as well as being absent from the ALDS. On tuesday, he was checked out by specialists, and it was determined that no surgery as required for the injury. This is great news for a Red Sox corps that had high hopes coming into this post season. By all accounts, Pomeranz should be ready to go come 2017 spring training.
