Bobby McCain Headshot

Update: Bobby McCain has been listed on the Dolphins' active roster but has not been taken off the Physically Unable to Perform list.

McCain was thought to be removed from the PUP list but it appears they're not ready to unleash the Memphis product just yet. Early reports indicate that the 'undisclosed' injury is minor and he should return to the field within a few days. McCain is a sleeper to be an immediate producer for the defense this year.

Junior Guerra Headshot

Brewers have set a price on Junior Guerra in trade talks that is "higher than Cashner" according to Jon Heyman.

The 31 year-old right rookie has performed much better than most expected, in just one MLB season he's generating more interest than Andrew Cashner did. The Brewers acquired Guerra off waivers last season and now could potentially trade him and get a decent return. He's 6-2 with a 2.85 ERA this year, not bad at all for a waiver wire addition.

Dion Jordan Headshot

Dion Jordan has officially been added to Miami's roster.

What's looking like one of the biggest draft day failures in NFL history, Jordan still is not in the clear yet. He must be compliant with his off-season recovery program and meet with the league before they deem him eligible to play in week one of the regular season. Jordan has the athleticism and some of the tools to be a successful player off the edge, but those alone clearly cannot carry you to success.

Brandon Brooks Headshot

Brandon Brooks (hamstring) will not practice on Saturday.

Brooks recently received a five-year $40 million contract. This makes him arguably the top free agent signing for the Eagles. The injury is not concerning since he has played in 44 out of 48 possible games with his former team, the Texans. Now with the Eagles, look for him to help lead the way for Ryan Mathews and the rest of the rushing attack. The injury is not thought to be anything serious.

Bobby McCain Headshot

Bobby McCain has been taken off the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list for the Dolphins but will not practice on Saturday.

The second-year defensive back was placed on the PUP lists with an undisclosed injury. McCain was a fifth-round pick last season but did not see the field very often. He was an absolute monster while playing college ball at Memphis while also showing out during the combine. The athletic 5'11 defensive back likely will have a future in the NFL but he may be best suited for the slot.

Jim Johnson Headshot

Jim Johnson earned his fifth save of the season after working out of trouble in the ninth inning against the Phillies on Friday.

Johnson was up to his usual tricks on Friday night as he allowed two baserunners in a one-run ball game, but managed to work out of trouble for his fifth save. With Arodys Vizciano still sidelined, Johnson should continue to receive save chances, as least for short-term purposes, although another outing or two like this one could force the Braves to try out Mauricio Cabrera in the ninth inning, considering they have nothing to lose at this point in the season.

Tyrell Jenkins Headshot

Tyrell Jenkins allowed one run (unearned) on four hits and four walks while striking out four batters over six innings against the Phillies on Friday.

After serving up seven run in his previous outing, Jenkins managed to get himself back on track Friday night as he allowed just one run, which was of the unearned variety. Now sitting 1-2 with a 4.91 ERA, 1.77 WHIP and a 20:6 K:BB rate through 29.1 innings, Jenkins still has some work to do before gaining lasting fantasy value, but this performance was at least a step in the right direction for the Braves' 24-year-old. He will look to build off this outing when he takes on the Pirates on Thursday.

Vince Velasquez Headshot

Vince Velasquez allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five batters over six innings against the Braves on Friday.

Velasquez was a tough luck loser on Friday night, as he managed to allowed just two runs through six innings but was given little to no run support from his offense in his third straight start. Despite a tough stretch for the Phillies' youngster, Velasquez has had a solid first season with the club, as he is now sitting 8-3 with a 3.32 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and a 108:36 K:BB rate through 97.2 innings, so if he can find a way to start limiting his walks on more of a regular basis, he will only get better from here while already being a great source of strikeouts (9.95 K/9). He will look to get back in the win column when he takes on the Giants on Thursday.

Corey Dickerson Headshot

Corey Dickerson went 1-for-4 connecting on his 15th home run of the season with a pair of RBI against the Yankees on Friday.

Dickerson has been all or nothing in his first season with the Rays as he is now slashing .235/.281/.460 with 15 home runs, 41 RBI and 32 runs scored through 302 at-bats. However, since July 18, Dickerson has raised his batting average from .223 up to .235 over a 10-game stretch, so if he can managed to keep up that pace there is a chance he could once again be a consideration for starting lineups in the month of August.

Logan Forsythe Headshot

Logan Forsythe went 2-for-5 with a home run, one RBI and one run scored against the Yankees on Friday.

Forsythe has been a steady fantasy contributor this season, as the Rays' utility man is slashing .276/.334/.456 with 10 home runs, 29 RBI, 43 runs scored and five steals through 294 at-bats. Although he isn't going to blow anyone away in a given category, he is still well worth a start in most league formats based on his multi-position eligibility alone.
