Michael Feliz will be optioned to Triple-A Fresno on Thursday.

Feliz has been basically perfect in the last four innings of relief for the Astros racking up five strikeouts in the span but that means that he will be pretty much unavailable for the next few days. Houston will use that opportunity to give Jake Marisnick another chance to prove he can hit at the major league level. Feliz will be up in short order once more for the third time this season.

Astros will recall Jake Marisnick from Triple-A Fresno on Thursday according to manager A.J. Hinch.

It was a short stint down at Triple-A for Marisnick even though he didn't show that he could hit there either but Houston has decided to give him another chance. He could be in the lineup against Wade Miley on Thursday but until he starts hitting and earning regular playing time, he's not worth paying attention to in any format.

Justin Tuck will retire as a Giant on Friday according to reports.

Tuck returns to Big Blue, though just for a day as he plays to retire. Tuck spent his first nine years in New York after being third round pick in 2005 and then moved on to play his final two years in Oakland in 2014 and 2015. He finishes his career as a two-time Super Bowl champ and with 66.5 career sacks. We here at Fantasy Alarm wish him luck in whatever ventures he pursues next.

Adam Moore has been designated for assignment.

Moore had been recalled to fill in behind Yan Gomes for the injured back up in Roberto Perez. But with the trade going down for Chris Gimenez on Wednesday, his services are longer need with the Indians and a spot on the 40-man roster needed to be opened as well, so it's a DFA for Moore. He should clear through waivers and wind up back down at Triple-A Columbus.

Brett Nicholas has been optioned to Triple-A Round Rock.

Nicholas had been up with the Rangers to provide catching depth for the big league squad who is dealing with some injuries there at the moment. However, Texas brought back Bobby Wilson in a trade and now have him and Bryan Holaday in the major league roster and didn't need to carry a third catcher. He will get regular playing time down on the farm and try and stay ready for his next stint in the bigs.

J.R. Graham has been recalled from Triple-A Rochester.

Graham is being brought up to fill Alex Meyer's roster spot, who was sent down after a bad outing on Tuesday. Graham however isn't faring very well on the Triple-A level having allowed 10 runs in 8 1/3 innings so far this season. It should be a cup of coffee for him until Ervin Santana is activated later this week from the DL.

Jason Rogers has been optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis.

Rogers got called up for his hot bat to start the year but since being called up and playing in nine games, he was hitting just .077 on the year. With that lack of production the Pirates can use that roster spot for some one else. He will continue to start at first in Triple-A and could come up again later this season.

Terrance Gore has been optioned to Double-A Northwest Arkansas.

Gore is known for being a big-time speed guy off the bench but at this point the Royals need a bullpen arm more than a steals threat late in games. Over the last two games against the Nationals the starters have last less than eight innings total across both games and thus the need for a fresh arm. Kansas City is expected to make the move before Friday's game in Cleveland. Gore meanwhile will get regular playing time down at Double-A having only seen action in four game with the Royals.

Valanciunas is dealing with an abdominal injury but is expected to play in Game 2.

The news of the injury is news to us as he went for a huge 24-14 double-double in Game 1 and played more than his typical workload. So this doesn't sound like a terribly serious issue for him and Thursday should be another big night for him as the Heat didn't seem to have anyone that could matchup with him despite having Hassan Whiteside on the floor. More updates should come after morning shootaround on Thursday but Valanciunas should be a full go.
